Anyone could eat Vance for breakfast, it’s all good

That is being held for RFK, Jr.

No, he is the guy who called in the National Guard to end the burning and riots sparked by literally a Boogaloo Bois and a racist right winger.

I watched the place burn live, I saw the National guard sit back and do nothing. I watched them loot and burn businesses and churches. I saw a young man protecting himself from thugs. You can’t change the narrative when people watched it live. Nice try though.

I also watched it.

Your characterization is accurate. It was BLM who burned everything down during their violent BLM riots.

That is simply a fact.

Is it? Because "fact" has an actual definition. It means that it's provable with evidence.

So please, by all means, provide your evidence that the fires were set by members of BLM and not opportunistic criminals using protests as cover. Because if it's a "fact," as you claim, then surely you must have proof.

The thing about Walz is that it takes about 30 seconds of paying attention to him to decide you would lay down your life for this decent man

He has three months to introduce himself to you - and I think you are going to like what you see

I already want to hang out with him at a bar. Haven’t seen a politician like that, national or state or local, since Obama.

He lacks Obama's arrogance, seems far more salt of the earth.

But I am both worried and sad that we live in an America that makes having a Jewish running mate a political liability. SMDH

That wasn’t the case with Bernie. Politics is timing. For better or worse.

There is a clear difference between being Jewish and being blind to the harm Israel that Israel is inflicting. Bernie’s eyes are wide open about what is going on in the Middle East. Whereas Shapiro has staked out a blind allegiance view. So it’s not about any kind of “ism” that makes Shapiro not the right choice but about his politics. Btw, I’m Jewish and would not have been thrilled about Shapiro. He also would not have my vote for any office where he would have a foreign policy involvement.

This. Perfectly said.

DREAM COME TRUE!!! I was hoping hard that Harris would pick Tim Walz. I love him. He is a thoroughly decent, kind, warm, smart human with humble origins and crossover appeal to independents too.

He's a former geography teacher who impacted his students' lives years later. He has a rural, military background (think he served in marines), his wife and him went through infertility for many years before having their daughter (who they named Hope for a reason) by IVF so he fully understands the impact of taking fertility and reproductive freedom away from women (Trump/Vance's goal).

This shows Harris will make her own decisions, even though the party establishment and elite (Obama etc) were pushing for Shapiro.

I can't wait to vote for Harris/Walz!!!!

Last I read, Harris has 36 field offices in PA to Trump's 3. Barring any unforced errors, it will come down to the ground game.

Yes, he should get lessons from Trump about bronzer and golden toupees

Waltz is 19 years younger than Trump and MAGA here thinks Waltz is too old. That’s how we know he is a good pick.

More Charlie Kirk lies. Tim Walz is who called out the Minnesota National Guard when the locals couldn't get the situation under control. Trump LIED about it and tried taking credit for it when it was in fact Walz who deployed the Guard and got Minneapolis stabilized. Walz also helped Minneapolis rebuild and recover.

AND... let's not forget about how the worst of the rioting - the arsons and smashed store fronts started with the "Umbrella Man" and a group of other right wing Boogaloo Bois accelerationists trying to start a race war.

Yeah, the National Guard stuff doesn't seem like a smart line of attack. Trump sat with his thumb up his butt cheering on the January 6th insurrection, refusing to call the National Guard in.

Yeah but Trump helped plan the insurrection. Of course he didn’t want to end it; he wanted to be installed president for life that day.

+1 It's pretty early to declare anything over. Kamala has had a full ticket for her candidacy for about 30 minutes.

That’s your quibble? That he’s 60 but you thought he looked older?

Well, if you're concerned about age, then you definitely shouldn't be supporting Trump who is clearly showing signs of dementia.

Trump has been showing signs of dementia since he first went on Fox News and asked about Obama's birth certificate. He's been at this level of dementia for so long that people think it's just his normal state of being and not something to be scared of electing back into the oval office.

He’s basically GenX. Sure not young…

He was born in 64. That aint Gen X by any measure.

Pretty close. Baby Boomers are up to 64. Gen X starts in 65.

Wikipedia might say that but those of us actually Gen X (1972) pretty much consider '69 as the starting point.

I was born in '67. I'm Gen X. I've never remotely thought of myself as anything other than Gen X. I was a kid in the 70s and graduated from high school in the 80s. Solid Gen X.

Right?! Why didn’t she pick Shapiro and try to make a battle for PA? Did Shapiro not want it? Did the opposition research find stuff on him or Kelly? This is “meh” for me but maybe he’ll surprise us?

Shapiro wants to be president one day so he’s going to work his butt off to get Harris elected.

This election is going to be one on who wins the communication narrative. Walsh is a great communicator, especially for average folk.

Maybe so in the moment, but Shapiro’s lack of loyalty hasn’t gone unnoticed. In 2014, he allegedly planned to endorse one of his closest political allies for PA governor. 10 days before the primary vote he flipped and endorsed Tom Wolf, who quickly appointed Shapiro as his successor two years before Shapiro “announced” he was running for governor! Sweet premeditated deal. Shapiro is loyal to himself. This fact was buried under all of the Pro Israel bashing against him. VPs primary responsibility is loyalty to the president, unless the president is a felon and election fraud.

Wow, wasn't aware of this but in general Shapiro does not hide his naked ambition well. It's just too obvious and I've been wondering all along if Harris could trust him. Fetterman seems like a straight arrow and really dislikes him.

Yeah, I mean they're all hyper-ambitious but Walz is canny about concealing his well. He played this game HARD and won.

Well, he was one of the first to endorse Harris. And he remained loyal to Biden when the Obamas, Pelosi, and Clooney 🤡 pounced immediately after the debate. Walz didn’t play the game. He was a loyal underdog with a strong level of experience in congress and no baggage. That’s what we want, no? He didn’t trash the other potentials. A few zingers. And he trademarked republicans are weird. Very few VPs elevate to president. 8 succeeded upon death of president. 4 were later elected.

Same goes for Vance and Trump of course.

He is thinner than Trump and Vance.

Vance is eating Vance (himself) for breakfast. He can't seem to get out of his own way. He needs no one to demolish him, he is too busy demolishing himself with his negative, scolding tone and fringe extreme views.

Walz is joyful warrior and a real one. I'm over the moon he is the VP candidate! Says a lot about Harris that she picked him.
