And he's going to a safe space. A state he will get that hardly has any EVs anyway.

One very distinct sign of senility is the loss of vocabulary. The fact that his active vocabulary is about half of what it was when he was in his 60s is definitely a sign of his decline. At this point, it's just sad.

He needs to follow Biden's lead and step down because he really is not aging well and putting himself on national display is almost cruel. His children and handlers really should be more compassionate and get him to step down and get out of the limelight.

I wonder if Trump is traumatized by the assassination attempt. It seems very unusual for him to not want to be at rallies or to even debate Harris. Normally he needs to be among people like it's oxygen. But he seems to have retreated to the basement in recent weeks. Less than three months before an election is a very peculiar time to want to isolate when you're running for president. He should probably seek some help.

There is absolutely no chance Republicans would nominate an 82-year old Donald Trump after losing 2 out of 3 elections in the EC and 3 out of 3 in the popular vote. They will be so hungry to win they will finally kick him to the curb. Question is, if Trump decides to run and then humiliatingly loses the GOP nomination, will he try to tear the entire party down purely out of spite?

It's like he's doing the hotels off the Vegas strip, sing his stale material from years ago. This is really depressing and old.

I think you're right about them finally kicking him to the curb. What amazes me is that January 6 was not disqualifying for today's GOP, but repeated losing is.

This would be the correct take if there was any level of normalcy here. But, MAGAs only want Trump and they will spend the next 4 years stewing about the stolen election. He will win the primaries again if he runs. The republicans allowed the beast to grow bigger than the party.

That seems likely, and I have compassion for that. And he is already a fussy guy, so I wonder if there is something a bit like end-stage Howard Hughes going on as he advances in his mental state. That doesn’t rule out that there may also be large-scale money laundering: maybe pocketing the RNC and campaign cash, not campaigning, and planning to win through false or faithless electors. But a trauma or other psychological cause could be a factor.

Trump Says He’ll Focus on Issues. His Allies Are Not Holding Their Breath.
Donald J. Trump has attacked Kamala Harris with racially loaded insults and a new, confusing nickname. “I would stick to the price of groceries,” one Republican said.

That’s it, keep underestimating Tump. Keep overestimating Kamala. Pathetic Democrat VP nominee. It’s starting to feel like 2016 again.

It feels like 2020 to me.

It feels like 2024 to me. No one is underestimating Trump. People know polls can be wrong. But I'm feeling optimistic with polls trending her way and Trump looking low energy and incoherent and being convicted of various felonies.
