he is charismatic, super-talented, confident, endearing, loves deeply, writes songs about loving deeply and based on what I've watched and read would give it all up for love. I think his public persona is very different than private and he's a rock star. That alone gets him a ton of attention

I wouldn't burn down my life for him, wouldn't even take the time to boil some water for him, BUT you're right about Halsey. Everyone thinks Taylor's lyrics about Matt Healy smolder? Halsey's words are on a different level about their involvement/connection. She probably cringes now as we all do about an ex, but she made a case for it!

This. I like how confident and charismatic Matty is. I also like free/unscripted celebs. Some might call him chaotic, but I actually think that’s a positive.

Taylor Swift is trapped by her good girl image and sings "you have edge she never did" aka acknowledging her "flaw" is lack of edginess. Matty Healy went and found someone whose sole character trait aside from a sexy brain screensaver is "edgy." Anyway actually they are terrifyingly good at emotional warfare against each other

This. He is her wild boy who brought her wild joy like "never before and never since." But he also destroyed her and was a wreck himself all of last summer and fall. I feel like their story isn't quite finished.

And then there is Taylor Swift’s song “Bigger Than The Whole Sky”, which I have always thought is about pregnancy lost.
There is also the lyric “talking rings and talking cradles” in loml.

What mental illness? He was just on a successful, sold-out world tour for over a year.
Most people have kids to add purpose to their lives, they are just not as honest as he is about it.

The majority of celebs don’t stay together anyway, and Taylor’s, Travis’ and Matty’s parents are all divorced. I wouldn’t say their parents experimented per say, and if they did, the experiments turned out pretty well.

Not really. Frankly, I would have probably done the same. It was too much noise, scrutiny and nastiness. He, his family and band were all getting death threats, photographers following himeverywhere etc. He is a musician and I am sure wants to focus on the art instead of the PR.

My prediction: MH and TS still have vaulted songs they collaborated on that have yet to be released. Now that the album has dropped and Matt Healy is more accepted by her fans and more popular than ever she will eventually split with Travis and the project they worked on together will be released.
