Doesn’t everyone remember feeling this way with someone? It felt so strong and intense and like nothing in the world would be like it? And then you find the partner you’re really supposed to be with and you’re like oh wow that felt like a fever dream. That was fleeting.

Fleeting? She has been in love with him for at least a decade! Possibly more. He is in dozens of her songs. It turns out that all of my favorite Taylor songs from the past decade are about Matty.
That is the opposite of fleeting.

She was in love with the thought of him. From a fleeting meeting when she was 24.

She has detailed their secret hookups in many, many songs. You just need to pay attention to the lyrics. Her drug is her baby she’s been using all her life

She clearly still didn't really know him. He did the love her in the same way. It's weird

It’s called a limerance

It’s when you’re in love with the idea of somebody but then when you get to know him, you realize they’re nothing like what you imagined

Girl, she knew him alright. In her songs in the past decade she alludes to many secret hookups, long late night calls when they probably talked about music and performing etc. She has called him her best friends on many occasions. They were secret friends and possibly a lot more for a long time, just never publicly.

Yeah, it's so funny when people say they dated for only two months. Sure they did. LOL.

Lyrics in Maroon, Illicit Affairs and August for example paint a very different picture. All 3 of those songs are for Matt by the way.

+1

August is fiction

Illicit affair is about the huttington dude

Joe Alwyn was credited as a producer on both of those songs. I mean really. Taylor isn’t that unhinged.

You think it’s hinged to write about Matty?

I believe it was William Bowery who was credited , and only on a couple of songs on the album, not all of them.

💔

I don't think there is any evidence Matty still harbours anything. I think he realized she was batshit crazy and the incessant copying and songs about him definitely would have killed any leftover feelings. Exes who become creepy obsessed stalkers have that effect.

Nah, he was just pissed He couldn’t get a better drug hookup from her friends. And how he had to watch his racist comments so they didn’t make the news every two seconds.

He doesn't need her friends for drug hook ups and other than his lack of action during a podcast last year - haven't seen anything racist making the news.

When you do drugs your brain doesn't function and you say stupid things

You don't have to hate matty to realize he's not the greatest guy to date.

His "drugged up" brain operates at ten times the speed of dummies like Travis for example. Have you watched interviews with Matty? He is quick-witted, intelligent, funny, well read and deep. I guess that's what happens when you receive a quality European education. No drug could mess you enough to sound like an American football player.

Uh, no. He’s high AF in every interview I’ve watched. Like a slurring chimney sweep.

I think you are either biased or have bad judgement of people.

Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_agjB2bECxA

I like the bit starting at around 4:45 because I am a horse lady, and the way he explains it is succinct, deep and perfection to be honest.
Now try picturing someone like Kelce speaking like that about his substance abuse issues.

Thanks for sharing that. I found what he said about the equine therapy to be articulate and even interesting.

I didn’t fully get it. But maybe I’m dense. I’ll have to rewatch.

She would go back to matty in a heartbeat. He is British and would have hated the Taylor swift machine and circus . I think they circled each other for years flirting but timing wasn’t right. I beleve he thought he had feelings for her but couldn’t handle the abuse and scrutiny
Anonymous
I don't think she would get back with Matty Healy just based on the " smallest man who ever lived " .He sounds like she built him up in her head and he disappointed her a lot.

I think she is angry with him in that song for dumping her. Almost in disbelief at how can someone like Healy not bow to queen Taylor and her wishes. But the rest of the album sounds like someone who is down bad and would go back to him in a hot second. The problem is, he doesn’t want that drama and scrutiny, so unfortunately for her, it isn’t happening. And so she needs to save face. Enter TSMWEL and Travis.

Uh, no she wrote this about him on the vinyl insert! She loved the thought of him then learned how it really was…he didn’t get her. They aren’t meant for each other.

A fan of The 1975 here. I believe their song “Sincerity is Scary” (2018) is about Taylor:

And why would you believe you could control how you're perceived
When at your best, you're intermediately versed in your own feelings?
Keep on putting off conceiving
It's only you that you're deceiving
Oh, don't have a child, don't cramp your style, I'll leave it
Why can't we be friends, when we are lovers?
'Cause it always ends with us hating each other
Instead of calling me out, you should be pulling me in
I've just got one more thing to say
I'm just pissed off because you pied me off
After your show when you let go of my hand
In front of some sket who wanted bit on your
Nah, I'm just messing.

I have no doubt they were lovers while in (dead?) relationships with other people. Matt told her not to f&ck with him right after she announced at the Grammys that she will be releasing a new album. He said he had “receipts.” Imo, dirt on what really happened. His aunt mentioned that there is more that went on in their relationship than what Taylor is portraying. And then there is Tay’s entire discography detailing secret meetups, late nights in dark corners, long drives to houses with porch lights on for him, seeing him twisted in her bedsheets, canceling plans just in case he calls etc.

+1. Matty said in an interview a while back that he and his “girlfriend” had a pregnancy scare but he was surprisingly calm about it because he is open to having a child who would add purpose to his life.
And then there is Taylor Swift’s song “Bigger Than The Whole Sky”, which I have always thought is about pregnancy lost.
There is also the lyric “talking rings and talking cradles” in loml.
🤔

Oh she “Knew Places” where to hide them away from prying eyes alright I am picturing a cozy cabin on a lake in upstate New York with a fireplace, lots of good wine and a room full of musical instruments for them to compose on. Soundproof too for all the music and…..☺️

He must be very good at conversation or you know what to have that many beautiful, successful women wrapped around his finger. I’ve always thought that his ex Gabriella Brooks is stunning. And then Halsey was down bad for him too. It’s a pattern with that man.
