You can't "keep information illegally". Please explain this.

This is how you tell me you don't have a security clearance without telling me you don't have a security clearance.

You're an idiot. Security clearances have nothing to do with this. Tell me that you're a clueless fool without telling me...

Well, the poster did respond accurately to your broad claim that you can't "keep information illegally"--they alluded to an instance where it's obvious that you can. They didn't say it was relevant to the case at hand.

It must be our murder analogy idiot.

We are where we are because a judge ruled Callie and that other woman can legally publish private medical records. There is no benefit to the public by making these private medical records public.

Callie is a horrible person for doing this and it’s insane we need to legislate common sense. But here we are.

Not true. What she did was criminal.

Nope. That is not what the court ruling said.

Cite the ruling, otherwise you’re lying.

Now you cite the judge’s ruling that this woman is a criminal.

But that’s not fair. I can’t find one because it doesn’t exist. But she’s a criminal because I say so, and I really don’t like what she did. This isn’t fair. I’m going to keep saying she’s a criminal because if I say it enough, that makes it true.

There is one unhinged parent who should not be leading this group of parents.

I agree. They should instead consult an organization focused on digital privacy and legal issues and get them interested in the situation. They will tell them if they have a case against Oettinger and, if not, what other options there are.

The funny thing here is I was being completely satirical. But this group of Callie-obsessed idiots are so similar, you couldn’t tell the difference. Likely, neither could they they.

BUT she thinks she's absolved because it's to "save" us all from FCPS, for the greater good, and oh she redacted it.

It was good for people to know this information. Also little of it had to do with the kids. She did not share information about your child. If FCPS had handed me this info I would have taken it straight to a lawyer to get help in how to deal with it. Is that what you are complaining about.

Cool. I’m sure she would appreciate a good counter suit. And an easily winnable one at that!

Based on what?

What is being suggested can easily turn into slander and harassment. But you do you.

Callie is the one who harasses school staff. Truth is a defense to slander. Protests on public streets are allowed.

You are sick. You know that information at this web site can be subpoenaed.

What did they say that is wrong?

She harassed FCPS. She is drawing resources away from our kids.

You should be way more concerned with who else got the same data and didn’t tell parents. You might not like what Callie has done but she is the only one who has told families how their data is being treated. This is a much bigger issue than FCPS wants to talk about

What are you talking about? Callie hasn't told us crap. She's sitting on our children's information because she has some special "look at me" agenda. No. Stop. She's in the wrong here. There's lots of ways that she could have highlighted this data breach without expanding it. She needs to be held accountable.

To be fair, neither has fcps. That letter was super cryptic, and if you call the number, they act like they have no idea they were made point on questions. They just refer back to the letter.

FCPS is incompetent when it come to data security/crisis management no doubt. But Oettinger is doing this on purpose for her own agenda and using kids' private data as a tool. That's just another level of bad to me.

Exactly.

Is she still holding onto data? How secure is all this data? How secure is what she redacted? Who else looked at it in the redacting process? What did the "trusted journalist" see? etc.

How is it ever okay that 35k parents have their kids' data still being held by this person? Why on earth should any parent trust a person who is doing this? She could shine a light on issues without holding onto private data without consent from the data owners.

All the legal questions aside on this thread--how on earth is this behavior considered defensible by anyone?

I’d lose my mind if I worked there. What a waste of taxpayer dollars answering request and request.

This is my issue.

FOIA laws are good laws. I believe in governmental transparency. I don't believe in FOIA abuse and fishing expeditions, which is what's been going on here. And I certainly don't believe in it when it targets my child.

This person you hate did not target your child or other children. Your language is duplicitous and you are trying to encourage someone other than you to attack this person. You are ill.

So does not have private sensitive information on 35000 children like she says she does?

She was given it by fcps, Yes. But she didn’t use it other than in a scrubbed, high level reporting. This was confirmed today by Michelle Reid. She is the fcps superintendent. So let’s stop making stuff up and speculating. This is straight from the top.

It happened again. This is the latest inadvertent incident.

It's the first time my child's information was posted online as part of someone's vanity project. That wasn't FCPS. That was Callie Oettinger.

Your child's name and information were posted online somewhere at Callie's site? Is this true?
