They released information by accident while trying to respond to Callie’s abuse of FOIA and constant demands for data.

Callie could have told the school and securely deleted the information, but instead she waited and meticulously combed through children’s personal information before publishing redacted copies onto the internet. That was no accident.

Did she redact the information herself, or did she get someone else to do it? If the latter, that means she let more people have access to our children’s information. I sure hope the redaction cannot be reversed.

Does she still have this information? Is she storing information securely? Is she showing the information to others who ask her about their children? Why won’t she delete the information securely?

I’m way more disgusted with her than FCPS.

+100. The ethical response would have been to notify FCPS of the disclosure and destroy any copies.

I'm sorry, I'm playing catch up. I got one of these letters. Last fall I had gotten a close out of iep for my kid from a speech pathologist, except all the details were for some other kid. I thought the letter today was related to that (some other single parent got my kid's info).

But sounds like I should jump on the 'sue Callie' train because she got everyone's iep info and published it somewhere? I'm actually concerned about this letter now if it wasn't just a goof swap with some other unknown parent.

Callie’s actions are disgusting. She should be prosecuted. I’m glad to see families angry with her. Yes an FCPS employee made a mistake and consequences and improvements need made. But Callie (and parents like her) who abuse school staff, have no trust or respect for school professionals, who use an FCPS mistake to gain leverage and publicity is appalling. Just know that FCPS employees deal with her and her kind on a regular basis. This is why people are afraid to work for the school system and are afraid to speak to parents.

FCPS made a mistake, but Callie is the person who gave away my child's information. Callie is not a hero. This crap has got to stop, and I work as a teacher for FCPS. I promise you, nobody I work with wants to hurt your child. Callie....not sure of your intent on releasing the info.
