A tweet from a TERF? Groundbreaking.

This woman was sexually harassed by a transwoman inmate who also exposed themselves to her. It escalated to a physical attack because she refused to have sex with her resulting in a broken nose and a bruised, swollen face. How can you be so sick and evil not to even care and instead call someone a slur? Your average, normal person would be horrified by what is happening to these women if they knew. Talk about an actual marginalized group with no voice.

Because they don't care what happens to women as long as trans women get what they want. Liberal incels on display.

Stop being intentionally stupid. This isn’t an either/or question. No one should be assaulted or mistreated, regardless of gender or sexuality or race. The NJ prison thing is about how horrible prisons are in America. Everyone on the left wants to prevent sexual assaults period.

I don’t believe the bolded any more. I used to believe it. But not any more.

+1. I used to believe that nearly all misogynists could be found on the right end of the political spectrum. In around 2015 I discovered misogynists can be found across the political spectrum.

As the saying goes, Right-wing men believe that women are their private property and left-wing men see women as public property.

Women in women’s prisons didn’t use to have to worry about getting pregnant from rape. Now they do.

Come on, you don’t think guards were raping them previously?

Well, now you have guards and trans women. Hooray for equality!

Women didn’t have to worry before about getting raped with a p*nis or getting impregnated until the policies were changed allowing male bodies into women’s prison. Big difference

They didn't?! Wow, that's news to me

Should I keep going?

I have not, I will add, seen dozens of stories about female inmates being raped by their trans fellow inmates. That one example is terrible - but doesn't seem very common.

It doesn’t happen much because many prisons still remain segregated by sex.

Research shows us that trans women retain male patterns of criminality even after medical transitioning, much less the males who “identify” as women with taking hormones or having surgery.

Oh, NOW you're saying you care deeply about the rights and safety of female inmates? Seriously, that's the sh!t you're slinging that you think we're buying? Where has your concern been until now? This is such a joke.

Wow! So women should be OK with trans women sexually assaulting and raping women because prisoner on prisoner violence happens? So if violence against women is not big deal because as you say because "violence happens", then why should anyone care about violence against trans and gay people?

No one is saying that, you fool. Prison is a violent place, and inmates are likely to be assaulted by inmates and guards. Is violence by trans inmates awful and should be handled? Yes. However, you conveniently leave out that trans inmates are much more likely be victims of violence in jail. Yet, I don't see you crying over them.

So your solution to the problem is to further endanger women by allowing trans women into women's prisons? You are a genius!

Ah, so you conveniently didn't answer the numerous studies that demonstrate where trans people are at greater victims in prisons. If you disagree, then please show evidence that shows trans people are committing more violence than being on the receiving end of violence in prisons.

Normally HRT sterilizes trans people. I don’t understand how these trans women are getting cis women pregnant unless they’re not receiving hormone treatment.

Get back on track. Your question and its answer is irrelevant to the discussion.

Wow. Watching these Republicans in the Rules Committee hearing on the debt limit bill reveals over and over that they are out of touch and outright delusional. It's pure cringe to watch. Along with watching them torpedo their own bill with amendments rooted in MAGA extremism that will never in a million years get through the Senate, never in a million years get enough votes to pass with a veto-proof majority.

NP. Your rallying cry for the safety of women in prisons is so heartwarming!!!! This is great! The right has finally seen the light and we need to create a system that's safe for everyone, including the prisoners. We have evidence of this amazing concern right here folks. Prisons are dangerous and women are harmed - news at 11!!!!!!

Self-ID as a woman and requesting placement in a woman’s prison doesn’t require HRT. In fact it doesn’t require any medical transition at all.
