Now, you're just lying. Have you not heard the very loud voice of trans activists shutting down anyone who disagrees with their ideology?

Shutting down how? By asking you to tolerate their existence? They are not the bigoted fascists who control state governments and ban books and ideas and any dissent.

They are the first ones to call people transphobes, bigots, fascists, and Nazis, for disagreeing with their ideology. They are the first ones to get violent and loud at events where women with contrary viewpoints speak.

Trans people existed way before the current spate of woke trans activists showed up on the scene. They were tolerated then. What's different now? Demanding that people affirm their identity and not misgender or dead name them goes way beyond tolerance. Asserting a right to access and occupy women's spaces goes way beyond tolerance.
But you already knew that but it is easier for you to cast dispersion on those who disagree with you than to argue on merits.

They aren’t shutting you or anyone else down, but just want to shut them up. They are just as entitled to freedom of speech and assembly as you are, except you support fascists who control state and local governments and want to shut them up and outlaw them.

We know they want to shut us up but that is not going to happen.
Your existential crisis of victimhoold is truly staggering.

You are a snowflake. No one is harming you. You are still free to be a bigot.

No one is harming trans people either. Get a grip!

Oh, really? You do know that there is a great deal of violence against trans people. Not to mention a very large suicide rate.

The violence against trans people in the US is dwarfed in both proportion and actual amount by violence against other marginalized groups, yet those groups don’t scream “genocide” the minute they encounter mild disagreement.

what other marginalized groups are you referring to?

Pick almost any marginalized group in the US and the statement will be true. But to give specific examples: Native Americans. Women, particularly POC women and women in poverty. Black Americans. The rates of violence against those groups far, far exceed anything experienced by the trans community.

Not true.

It is entirely true. The only way your original statement even approaches reality is if you take the position that domestic violence doesn’t count as violence. Is that your position?

The reality is that trans Americans are a safer population than many, many other marginalized groups in the US.

Here's the actual reality:

https://williamsinstitute.law.ucla.edu/press/ncvs-trans-press-release/
https://bjs.ojp.gov/library/publications/violent-victimization-sexual-orientation-and-gender-identity-2017-2020

Also, your flawed statement doesn't take into account other challenges that trans people face such as being denied housing, jobs, access to healthcare, and much more.

You don’t understand the links you posted, which compare rates of violence against cisgender people—in other words, not against a marginalized group. If you stick with the original assertion, which is that rates of violence against other marginalized groups are actually significantly higher than rates of violence against transgender people, you will find that transgender people are actually one of the safer groups of marginalized people in the US. That’s not to excuse violence against transgender people, which is of course inexcusable, but it makes the overwrought claims of “genocide” very suspect, when as a group transgender people are actually doing pretty well compared to other marginalized groups that are terribly victimized in this country.

But I get it, your persecution complex doesn’t allow you to be rational about data.

You do realize that trans people fall under the marginalized groups that you keep ranting about? Black trans women are probably the most marginalized group in the US. Of course, your TERF views will probably fail to recognize that.

BTW, any actual studies to show that " as a group transgender people are actually doing pretty well compared to other marginalized groups"?

It isn't an either/or thing. This post is specifically about the trans community, but that doesn't mean most of us advocating for trans rights do it at the expense of the other groups.

There is definitely not universal agreement with the bolded statement.

Really? You think most people who don't want violence against trans people advocate or ignore other kinds of violence. Get out of here.

Cue the rabid anti-trans posters who think all trans advocates hate women. As if this country has ever given two sh!ts about women, but all of a sudden the performance of sheer outrage that women are being harmed by trans advocates is laughable and misplaced. Maybe if you cared before, but we know you didn't. As if anyone cared about female athletes before, but looking here you'd think that was more important than peace in the Middle East. But if you support trans people, that equates to you being hateful and anti-woman. But please with your crap, we see through you.

+1. It's clear that the PP is just using recycled TERF points without any actual evidence or studies to back up their statements.

When you've lost the argument so you resort to name-calling.
Bless your heart, you poor thing.

They always end up putting their misogyny on full display, complete with sexist and ageist insults. It’s almost as if a hated of women drives them. 🤔

A tweet from a TERF? Groundbreaking.

This woman was sexually harassed by a transwoman inmate who also exposed themselves to her. It escalated to a physical attack because she refused to have sex with her resulting in a broken nose and a bruised, swollen face. How can you be so sick and evil not to even care and instead call someone a slur? Your average, normal person would be horrified by what is happening to these women if they knew. Talk about an actual marginalized group with no voice.

Because they don't care what happens to women as long as trans women get what they want. Liberal incels on display.

To these dudes the only that matters is their feelings. Objective reality and truth about crime, violence, and evolutionary biology is of no concern. Thanks Foucault!

I think what happened to the inmate is terrible, but I also think we are discounting that prison in general is an extremely violent place. Prisoner on prisoner violence is unfortunately a given.

Women in women’s prisons didn’t use to have to worry about getting pregnant from rape. Now they do.

Come on, you don’t think guards were raping them previously?

Women didn’t have to worry before about getting raped with a p*nis or getting impregnated until the policies were changed allowing male bodies into women’s prison. Big difference

What happened was horrible, however, is that the norm? Studies have actually shown the opposite; trans people are the ones who are likely to face assault in prisons. And, I trust you be equally outraged about these situations:

Stop being intentionally stupid. This isn’t an either/or question. No one should be assaulted or mistreated, regardless of gender or sexuality or race. The NJ prison thing is about how horrible prisons are in America. Everyone on the left wants to prevent sexual assaults period.

Of course they were. But they didn’t have to worry about getting pregnant through rape by other prisoners, and now they do.

They didn't?! Wow, that's news to me

Should I keep going?

I have not, I will add, seen dozens of stories about female inmates being raped by their trans fellow inmates. That one example is terrible - but doesn't seem very common.

Wow! So women should be OK with trans women sexually assaulting and raping women because prisoner on prisoner violence happens? So if violence against women is not big deal because as you say because "violence happens", then why should anyone care about violence against trans and gay people?
