It’s been widely known that Meghan’s obsessed with Diana way before she met Harry. Her very own childhood best friend Ninaki Priddy was open about this. Harry’s dysfunctional mental health has been mostly attributed to his mom’s tragic death as evidenced by his constant reference to it. Meghan knew this and used it to her advantage. She’s been cosplaying Diana. This is the lowest she’s ever gone. I don’t think she can get away with this.

The monarch is an ancient institution. It predates the tabloids by many centuries. The monarchy has to work with the tabloids because Britain has some of the freest presses in the world. But the monarchy also has no real alternative either. The monarchy isn't seeking to be famous, it is the monarchy, it exists outside the concept of famous. It is a legal political and cultural entity backed up by history.
