Anonymous wrote:Congrats to both Stars and Pride for really good NGLL seasons. The two teams were a combined 3-11 last year in NGLL (excluding head to head). This year, they went 9-5 on that stat. Pretty huge improvement.

As for today's game, first half was well-played (6-3 Pride). Second half devolved a bit, with lots of whistles, cards, and parents yelling at the refs and generally whining. TBH, this was mostly one side's parents, and not a good look--it detracts from the girls' experience. And they can hear you...

8-5 final score.

On the positive side, the level of play for both teams has improved a lot this year, and Stars' game is much cleaner than before. Some really talented players on both teams as well. Both teams' defenses deserve a big shout out and all four goalies were great today! Congrats to the players and good luck for a great tournament season.

Put a name on it on the parents sideline behavior

Name: Pride

Lots of cards and Pride down 2 players in the 2nd half?

How about the “ticky tack” offsides tantrum? Was that a Pride parent?

Yes.

Ridiculous. Big guy filming under the press box. Dad of a Stars player well known for yelling at refs. Foghorn voice.

Bullseye

Lots of yelling on both sides. Both equally too blame as it’s always a hot contested game. The screaming of stars parent at other parent was out of control. Was that at Pride parent?

What’s happened to M and D 28? They are really struggling this year

Highly Doubtful. Capital parents are told, and absolutely understand that type of behavior is not permitted by Capital as it would hurt their daughters chance of being recruited. If it did happen, I am certain it was addressed.

Players yes. Adults that don’t know how to behave, no.

Yes, they have one idiot. That would be me. My apologies to everyone. I’m trying to tone it all down. My voice is very loud and I get all emotional about things. But I know that I am extremely loud and obnoxious. But again, my apologies and I own it.

Takes a lot to admit this so kudos to you sir. As a Pride parent understand the emotions of the game. Let’s all strive to do better and make sure our girls are getting better. Isn’t that the point?
