BLC girls should def be trying out for multiple clubs and steer clear of Capital Orange if they r THAT good. Sounds like talent will end up being spread out. All the local 25s had a ton of college coaches on sidelines. Scores don’t matter to coaches so wherever the 27s end up lax life will be good if they keep grinding wherever they land.

The Stars A team is much further down the list. For 2027s, it goes Hero’s Green and M&D Black, then next level down is BLC, MD United, Pride NOVA Red, and Skywalkers Blue. Then next level down is Stars Light Blue. Then next level or several levels down are a bunch of clubs, including MC Elite, YJMA, Rebels, etc.

Yes, you are right. Not many stars 27s will make Capital. But the stars HS program may benefit from that if the girls choose to stay.

At most 2 players from Stars 27 makes Capital Blue.

Do you know every girl on the stars 27 roster? How can you even say this with any certainty?

Are most of the Stars players Saints girls?

No. I think only five are saints.

Why is it interesting that a CAV player stood out? CAV has good players. Each team...BLC, Pride, Stars, etc has standout players.

Its interesting because Cavs aren't a very good team.

I am hearing lots of BLC players looking at clubs other than Capital. Will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Here is a link showing the VA 27 teams and their records/opponents. Please note the Nova Pride teams are included under MD and not included.

I've watched Stars play multiple. A good well-coached B level team but no outstanding athletes. 3 of their best players came from Pride where they were backups. 2 girls to Capital may be on the high side if most BLC starters try out.

You will see a lot of disappointed Stars parents, that's about all you will see.

If more than 2 or 3 Stars girls make Capital, the politics is THICK! That Stars team is not good. As previous poster said, a decent B team. They are a significant step down from BLC or Pride. Those two teams can keep it somewhat competitive with the top Baltimore clubs. Stars gets throttled! If Capital is taking the top players, very few will be Stars. Time will tell….

If Capital doesn’t take the top girls it will only hurt them. That is the only way they can compete with the top teams. Taking ok players over top players because of some affiliation will come back to bite them.
Anonymous
What a nice warm welcome non-BLC and non-Pride players will get on Capital.

There’s a lot of politics on the Stars 2027 team and promises of some kind were made. KJ calls plays that showcase certain children. If mixed fairly among other athletes more children will shine in unstructured play.
