It’s odd that Canada is still a constitutional monarchy. I genuinely cannot understand the mindset: loving the idea of having my country represented/“ruled” by a foreign monarch.

Ehhh, they've got nothing else going on at the moment. No wars. And IMO Trudeau waited around and didn't appoint a Queen's Governor General for a reason. The position sat empty while protests happened.

That link is the monarchist argument, not a reflection of the reality of Canadian politics. When Canada decides to ditch the monarchy -- and it is a question of when, not if -- it will not be very difficult to implement.

Enh, I'm a 35 year old mixed race woman who finds Meghan Markle to be incredibly grating because she just wants attention on her all the time. I would have so much more respect for her if she had done what she said she was going to do - move back to the US for privacy and a normal life. Instead, she's trotting around all over the country doing random events without her children.

Where and when did she say this? I have heard her say she never expected complete privacy and she understands that because they are public figures. +1000. And for the stans, why has Meghan ditched the black side of her family? We understand the Markle side, but she has seemed to totally want nothing to do with the black side of her family and even happily tried to claim other racial backgrounds until she could use being black as a weapon. As someone of a mixed background, I find her behavior odious. You accuse others of falling victim to tabloids, but you stans have been so easily manipulated by Megham.

When and where did she claim other racial backgrounds? I’ve only heard her talking about being black and white, well before Harry came into the picture. Also which family members did she ‘ditch’? Nobody is saying she is perfect, I’m sure she has family issues like the rest of us. But her issues are broadcast for the world to see. I’m just going by interviews where she has talked about her racial background. I’ve never once heard her claim anything else. If an interview is manipulation, then We can’t trust anything anyone says.
