Public Trump Impeachment Hearing Mega Thread

I don't want to offend anyone.

It's, "Have a prayerful impeachment day."
Or, "Have a solemn impeachment day."

Then, after the vote is taken, go out and party like it's 1999. Because, that is what the Dems in Congress will do.

Rep. Lesko charging Democrats are tearing families apart. Maybe not the best imagery for her to evoke as a Republican during the Trump administration.

Sorry, it is tough to believe him when his story has changed....

Murphy, who traveled to Ukraine and other European nations in early September with Sen. Ron Johnson (R., Wis.), has given inconsistent characterizations of his Sept. 5 meeting with Zelensky over the past two weeks, as Trump's conversations with Zelensky have drawn national and international attention. If, as Murphy says, Zelensky expressed grave concern over the administration’s actions, the Connecticut senator appears to have kept mum about it for over two weeks.

Murphy initially told news reporters in a Sept. 11 briefing that the Ukrainian president was "flummoxed" by the administration’s suspension of aid and wanted to reach a resolution to keep it flowing. Neither Zelensky nor any other official he spoke with brought up political requests from the Trump administration, he said, adding that they "didn't talk in depth" about the issue.

That isn't a change in story.

So, he is calling Zelensky a liar when he has said publicly and repeatedly that he felt no pressure?

Trump is still President and Zelensky still needs US support. It's kind of the definition of "feeling pressure" to lie about whether you feel pressure.

I'd like to thank the House Democrats for securing the re-election of President Trump in 2020.

She's an idiot. She's bad at talking. How many times in Committee did she say "Come on, now!"

Who’s the one in the speaker’s chair?

Not from the Onion but from a White House source - "Hillary Clinton purposely lost the election with the aid of Russian hacking so the Democrats could then impeach Trump"

The bolded reinforces, not contradicts, Senator Murphy's statement.

Not necessarily. If he was "flummoxed" then that would mean that he was "bewildered" or "perplexed"...so obviously he did not know why the aid was withheld. If he did not know, how could he feel "pressure"?
