Is there any way to know if the killer's brother is the relative who was recently let go at AIW?

He was working at PCM services at one time according to their website. He apparently worked there for five years. Not sure if he left to work for AIW. My guess is we will find out within a day or two. No doubt the police are drilling all the folks arrested yesterday. They already know but just have not released the details. So many agencies appear to be involved. They have all done such a great job!

Yes they have! It's very impressive to read about the teamwork and collaboration involved amongst the different agencies. Awesome job!

The ex-con who allegedly slaughtered a wealthy Washington family and their housekeeper fled to Brooklyn after the grisly murders — then took a costly ride back to the capital in a livery cab when he realized he’d become a wanted man.

He’d been staying in his gal pal’s Canarsie apartment since Sunday — but wasn’t concerned about getting caught until he was named as a suspect Wednesday night, a law enforcement source said.

Wint was “shocked” by the warrant for his arrest, the source added. He called his parents in Maryland, then hopped in a livery cab, forking over hundreds of dollars to get back to DC, the source said.

His parents got in touch with authorities, telling them he’d been staying with the paramour in Brooklyn. Marshals in New York City went to his girlfriend’s Canarsie pad, but missed him by a few hours, the source said.

“We tracked him up to New York City and barely missed him [Wednesday] night,” Robert Fernandez, commander of the US Marshals Services’ Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, said Friday morning, CNN reported.

They tracked the gal pal down Thursday at the Jamaican restaurant where she works and brought her in for questioning at the 69th Precinct.
The woman, who was in possession of Wint’s phone, had told cops he spent Wednesday night with her before heading back to DC, law enforcement sources said.

I dont think I understand...
He told gf he is going back to DC and she told the authorities?
He told his parents he is heading back to DC and they called authorities disclosing he was in NYC and heading back to DC?

Did he want to get caught or what? Why did he even come back to DC? The reason I ask is that these moves seem to be dumb and crazy, with no reason or logic which probably tells us what kind of a person he is.

The "gal pal" committed a crime by harboring a wanted murderer. She should be prosecuted.

He's gotten away with all sorts of crap in the past. He got cocky, then careless.

She does seem like a good person. And, do not forget the father took out a restraining order at one time against DW. She probably became interested after observing her SBs behavior over the years.

Yes. The restraining order included staying away from his sister's (8 years old at the time?) school and day care.
Yesterday I accessed Daron's fb profile and the sister was on the friends list, but now it's not.

He thought he was too smart to get caught. He probably wore gloves, burned evidence and figured he'd covered his tracks. I'm guessing his understanding of DNA and forensic science is shaky at best. Arrogance and ignorance are a bad combo when trying to hide one's actions.
