I feel sorry for them as well. Two families destroyed by the horrific actions of the suspects. Actually, three as well as the suspects children.

Anyone know when the suspects have to appear in court?

I read somewhere he is scheduled to appear in Superior (I think) Court today at 1:30 pm. Can't remember where I came across that though. Not sure about the others arrested with him.

Thank you for the info.

From http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/05/22/suspect-in-washington-dc-quadruple-homicide-arrested/:

"Following Wint's capture, the Savopoulos family released a statement, saying, "We are thankful to law enforcement who have worked so diligently to bring about an arrest in this case."

"While it does not abate our pain, we hope that it begins to restore a sense of calm and security to our neighborhood and to our city. We are blessed to live in a community comprised of close circles of friends who have supported us and grieve with us," the statement said. "Our family, and Vera's family, have suffered unimaginable loss, and we ask for the time and space to grieve privately.""

I cannot fathom what that jury will see during a trial. Can the defense waive a jury trial if he doesn't plead guilty? I can't imagine how anyone on his legal team would think bringing this in front of a jury would be a smart move.

I live in TN. They definitely do not want to tried here

TN? It seems you and your ilk have descended like a horde of mountain-folk upon this thoughtful website. Be gone with ye.

And may I ask where you were on Wednesday and Thursday last week? You seem to be so full of hate...kind of like the suspects.

Didn't read about this case until last night.

Wish I hadn't.

Can't stop thinking about it.

TN poster, please don't pay attention to the pp! Most DCUM posters aren't so rude and unwelcoming.

I am not going anywhere. Many people thoughout the country are following this case. Not as a troll but folks who are grieving for the families and trying to understand how such a terrible crime could have been committed. I have a heart and compassion.

The Cheshire murders still haunt me, and this one will, too.

Too bad the prosecutors can't get this into federal court.

One thing is for sure, if this lowlife had committed these crimes on the other side of the Potomac, they would be looking at "juicing" him.
