Certainly BB set up her online profile and maybe encouraged her to play around because, in his mind, it would legitimize/excuse what he was doing with AP. Why do I suggest this? I can't understand any other situation in which JR would have stayed in the house for more than a few minutes. Had he walked in on CB without her prior knowledge I can't imagine she wouldn't have resisted and raised an alarm, called the police, nor that JR would think that such a response was part of the anticipated sex scenario. Second, had he walked in on an already incapacitated if not mortally wounded CB, he would have gotten the hell out of there in seconds. I want to reiterate that if CB was at all a participant in this it was under the pressure of an abusive, cheating, conniving husband. I'd love to hear other explanations for the time JR spent in the house if CB wasn't expecting him. And, PLEASE, keep it civil. We are all speculating on the possibilities, none of us know more than the authorities, etc.

I agree that if Joe has found Christine stabbed, he would have called 911 immediately.

Agree. This is the one part of the sequence of events that I can't work out. I'm thinking there is forensic evidence that has not been presented yet

This is my guess:
JR walked in, spent a few minutes communicating with BB (pretending to be CB) to okay whatever role play setup JR thought was happening. He came upstairs and saw CB bloodied and unconscious, turned to flee and was immediately shot.

With the amount of ring cameras in the neighborhood, I don’t think they would lie testifying the whole going to McDonalds and going back thing.
They know there are cameras and GPS and the police would check.

Didn’t they already say there’s video evidence of him staying in the McDonald’s parking lot for an extended period of time? Meaning more time than it takes to eat a sausage egg McMuffin?

Thirty minutes! yeah that is "sitting in wait" which relates to the aggravated murder charge. It's one of the listed criteria for that charge according to Google. It was clearly highly planned.

Specially in February. Why would you go on an outdoor activity early am in cold February?

I still think BB is guilty BUT it was unseasonably warm that week in Feb. we discussed that in the initial thread.

Even if you eat two sausage and egg McMuffins and two hash browns it takes you only fifteen or twenty minutes. I'm sure gearing up to do a stabbing and a shooting no one is that hungry with all that adrenaline pumping through your sociopathic adrenaline pumping through your sociopathic body limbic system.

Actually that day and the ones following were unusually warm. Watch the chiefs outdoor statement that day and you’ll see he and others are not dressed for winter like cold.

Uh-oh, I hope the police didn’t mess this one up. (Not being disparaging to police-I mess up all the time with much less serious consequences.)

Other than the info about JM’s lawyers alleging police misconduct I didn’t think there was too much new info in the article.

It’s sad to think about the daughter riding in the cop car to the station

And the daughter seeing her mother taken away in an ambulance then Juliana’s panic attack outside the home.

It will all eventually come to light but the order of events are difficult to put together. Several have mentioned that maybe JM was unaware, but to that I reference the forgotten lunches. Coincidences are less likely to be coincidences on the day of a murder. She went back for a reason.

In a later press conference that is on YT the FFPD spokeswoman clarified that they believed he was known to Christine but that the investigation was ongoing. At this point there has been talk of the convo btw. JR and BB possibly involving a voice change app or similar so I think it's possible he was "known" to BB pretending to be CB. More to come, clearly.

I am the person who walked their dog and had contact with CB and BB, but mostly CB.

My guess is that CB would never have had a man over her house, and no chance she would be into this “fetish with knives” bullshit. Seriously…

We know that when she was found, she was naked. But there is no information JR was naked, so I assume he was clothed and was caught off guard. In my opinion, BB killed poor Christine right before Joe Ryan was about to get there. He probably messaged him sth like “hey, I will leave the door open and you can just come in” pretending to be CB. Then he came in and was shot.

There is a chance he planned all that on his own, and Juliana just happened to go back home to get the lunch and messed things up. (Which probably explains the whole thing about calling the first time, hanging up and then calling 911 again after 10 minutes). It makes me think Brendan was trying to convince her the whole home invasion was real, asked her to get the gun to shot the invader, and then telling her they had to be careful to not accidentally incriminate themselves? I don’t know. And of course there is even more chance she is involved in the sordid plan. It doesn’t matter, she is a psychopath just for having an affair with him anyway.

CB was a great person, a hard worker, and a perfect mom. She was so generous and kind. Her parents are amazing people and I feel pain in my heart just thinking about this whole tragedy. Every time I heard about BB, saw him, or talked to him I thought: how are these people a couple? He is the complete opposite, although I couldn’t imagine he was capable of doing what he did.

I hope he rots and little V gets a chance to have a normal life with her grandparents.

Very much so.

Wasn't the child in preschool? If so, the plot to do this while the child was home was another heinous choice by BB.

The little girl was said to be close to her mom's family and the former AP and was cut off from both so BB & JPM could play house and go to Fall Out Boy and NYC and obv to protect them from her spilling the beans in a preschooler way. Loss after loss after loss. She will be traumatized on so many levels for life.

Upthread it was rumored that BB was known to cheat early in the marriage, staying is risky when someone devalues you. Obviously most men are not sociopathic killers but he was not a good choice of dad, either. I used to think those having affairs would feel guilty but more and more I see examples where it is inverted into contempt and dehumanization of the spouse.

This is such a tragic case.

I'm a neighbor as well. I walked by the house yesterday and saw a car in the driveway I had not seen before (I was very familiar with BB's mother's car). It was an SUV with the rear hatch open as if items were being removed from the house. My deepest hope is that this was CB's parents/sister picking up things for the child of whom they have been given custody. Maybe I so want this to be the case that I'm putting speculation before facts but if you ever saw that child your hear would break.

I remember that day was extremely warm. I was sitting out on my patio drinking coffee (which I never would have done in freezing temperatures)

Also, if they were going to the zoo in DC, that would take at least 1 hour to 90 minutes to get to from Herndon.

How do we know the kid was kept away from maternal grandparents and former au pair?
And if this is true, what did BB use as an excuse for doing that?

What? It's a 35 mins drive to the zoo from Herndon.
