You think Meghan cares for Andrew?

No not at all. I just wonder if the BRF decided that they could benefit from the situation.

She has demonstrated that taking one for the team is not her thing. So I’m going to say no.

And why should she in this case? Would you be willing to sacrifice your happiness for your child-rapist uncle-in-law just to save the family business? Wouldn’t you be livid if your in-laws and DH asked you to?

No, she’s doing right by her child.

Why not just donate the money you spent on gas for this photo op to the shelter and actually do some good

Canada is part of the Commonwealth, so I imagine there are concessions for Royals to live here should they choose.

We haven’t seen any evidence of that.

CNN has an article that said that Royals can stay 6 months at a time without going through the normal process. This fits with a split of time between Britain and Canada.

I’m simply refuting PP that thinks this is a stunt to detract from Andrew. It’s not.

You have no idea how publicity works, do you?

And sounds rootless and poorly thought out for a new family. Par for the course.

I agree that it is not. But it not being a stunt to detract from Andrew doesn’t say anything bad about her. If you thought it was a stunt, you’d claim she was craven for protecting a child-rapist. She can’t win either way with you. She’s damned if she does (covering for a pedophile) and damned if she doesn’t (not a team player).

Plenty of young families with infants and toddlers move around frequently. It’s better than staying rooted in a toxic environment.

You know that picture of Meghan getting into a seaplane that the tabloids reported was her going to a resort?

She went and spent the day at a homeless and domestic violence women's shelter. THIS is what she wanted to do all along with the BRF but they muzzled her so she wouldn't outshine Kate.

Guess who was spotted in Vancouver today? Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle paid a visit to the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre, where she spent time discussing some of the issues affecting women.

I looked for a news article about this and didn't find anything. I found the pic on Twitter but that's a small market. She has definitely given up a wide media reach. Volunteering at a shelter or women's center is important but no more so as a duchess than as a regular nobody.

She had a large platform. Now she doesn't.

She still does.

I've already seen British media picking up on it and the picture was posted less than 20 minutes ago. Meanwhile its what?? 2AM in London and 9PM at night on the East Coast.

I'll bet you that there will be headlines everywhere in the morning articles about Meghan's visit to the homeless women's shelter.

In fact, come 8AM EST I'll come back and post the first 10 articles I see. Actually media with circulation only - no blogs.

Can you split that $ with an environmental group to offset the impact of her flight?

So are they going to settle in a location that will require a flight every time the want to leave their neighborhood?

So there are no women’s shelters in the U.K.?

Plenty. What there isn't in Canada - a hateful U.K. media and palace courtiers insisting Meghan stop 'doing so much' because Kate can't keep up.

Proof? Source? Aside from Meghan’s painfully obvious PR, I mean.

Proof of what? All the palace courtiers did throughout 2018 was complain about Meghan and her ability to work.

Most recently, she showed off her baby bump in a black dress at the Fashion Awards 2018 in London.

However, palace staff are reportedly concerned about Meghan and her workload in recent months.

Some have apparently called the American a ‘workaholic’.

A royal family expert named Russell appeared on ITV’s Lorraine and said Meghan has been issued with a ‘warning’ from palace staff.

Apparently, staff are suggesting Meghan should slow down and take it easy before she welcomes her baby, who is due in a matter of months.
