I feel sorry for her because with all that privilege, she doesn't seem to be married to someone who likes and respects her. Over the years, seeing them at events and such, he doesn't seem to care much about her.

Also, her kids are growing up in a fish bowl, something both her husband and her BIL hated.

I dunno. Can you really know what your life with kids will be like? Is Kate really okay, for instance, with George watching how his father treats her and learning the same? I think no mother really knows what it's going to be like until the kids are there.

How will immigration work for them? They can only stay in Canada for 6 months and then have to leave for 6 months. Will Canada grant them special exception to be able to stay longer?

Canada is part of the Commonwealth, so I imagine there are concessions for Royals to live here should they choose.
