I agree, also the fact that men predominated on the jury (why did her lawyers allow that??) and he had far better lawyers.

It's been proven that men tend to find in favor of women and women on jury are harsh on other women.

Only one of her counter-claims was successful and that wasn't even against Depp but his agent and was for only $2M.

Furthermore, in the court of public opinion, I don't think Depp has ever been more popular. She, though....I don't think she's going to have many opportunities going forward.

No. Any decent human thinks he’s a POS after this.

He is gross. But she perjured herself over and over again. She has to be the least believable person on the planet.

I'd say their lawyers were quite evenly matched.

This is BS.

I think she is a liar but don’t think that every single thing she said was a lie and that if he did abuse her (not necessarily physically) then it’s not defamation.

Basically seems like jury nullification based on his celebrity.

No. Everything was found in his favor. EVERYTHING.

She has to pay $5,000,000, $10,000,000, $2,000,000 (update he has to pay to her), and $350,000.

Her net worth is only $2 million. How does she ever pay that? Honest question.
m

Maybe she could get some of the “millions” she gave to the ACLU back?

LOL! and the millions she donated to the children's hospital?

Unfortunately for the charities to which she pledged funds won’t get any of it because she won’t be able to make donations while she still has an unsatisfied judgment against her.

She had no intention of honoring those pledges. It is not like the pledges were enforceable.

What a surprise that a country that wants to punish women by denying them basic healthcare and shrugs at the slaughter of school children rewards a male celebrity for being an abuser.

This verdict is entirely problematic but to be expected given the misogyny still so prevalent in society.

Dear lord, every time you talk about this like it a criminal case, everything else just sounds so stupid.

There is someone stupid in this exchange.

Yes, and it’s the one who talks about charges in a civil case and says Heard won damages from Depp’s attorney instead of Depp himself.

The campaign online to clear Depp is just another form of MAGA in this country.

Like literally…when you’re a star, they let you do it - here - the “it” is beat your wife.

Completely unsurprised by the disgusting Pieces of Sh!T that surround us here in the good ol’ USA!

Oh please. This at least proved that if you are going to accuse someone of something you have to at least have valid evidence. Which she did not have.

Agree, and this was Variety's take on his career as of 23 hours ago:

Johnny Depp said he has lost tens of millions of dollars due to Amber Heard’s allegations of domestic violence, but the testimony showed that he was a star in serious decline even before the allegations, and was virtually unemployable by major studios.

my life on the Johnny Depp jury

My life as an Abuse Victim: Get accused of making it up, get sued and have a public live-streamed $hit$how case.

Power, control and post-separation abuse at its best. With the financial abuse cherry on top.

HAHAHA

They have never made the same type of movies. Tom Cruise is an action star of course his movies make a lot of money still. And Tom cruise is professional who does his own stunts the opposite of a drug addict.
