Megan/Harry want to live the Alisr Hollywood life, so probably want to spend as much.

Angie and Meghan will run out of money soon.

It’s not even the money, it’s that the shine on Angelina, especially when she was with Brad, was the most powerful and lucrative PR and tabloid story of the day, and seemed like it would never stop. But it did. No one wants to read stories about her 400th court filing in their child custody fight.

+1. I don’t think there will be a big custody battle when H&M split. She’ll probably just let him live in the guest house and tell him when he can come over for visits with the kids.

I think there will be a media circus. But she has positioned Harry in such a way that he won't win.

There's no way to know that unless the Sussex release tax returns. As someone with some knowledge of the industry I'll just say this -

- Meghan's two books with her as the front-runner hit the New York Times Bestsellers list both times (The Grenfell Cookbook and The Bench)
- They have a proven draw that listens to, watches, and reads anything they put out (the numbers for the CBS special was only second to the SuperBowl)
- They have the best representation money can buy and a built-in vociferous market (of fans and haters - half the time they sell out in the UK just because the tabloids who can't stand them have half a dozen articles out about anything they do within hours)

Essentially they are built-in gold mines no matter what. The closest I could find with both the name recognition and the market power without being a reality tv star is a POTUS. But its a bit different from say a former President even because they are writing on topics (whether you like it or not) that interest people, have scandal, and intrigue. All of which means they can demand their price.

Eh. I remember a handful of years ago when there was no bigger female star in the world than Angelina Jolie, and with Pitt, together they were the ultimate power couple -- no couple could be more beautiful, more successful, etc etc.

Things can change pretty fast.

Did you have a point? Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are so powerful they just pick a project or produce Oscar-winning films. Even separated he's worth $300 million and she's worth $120 million.

They're a good example. Jolie is flat broke and her new "comeback" movie was a flop.

You think Angelina Jolie the highest paid film actress of the 2000s in Hollywood is broke?

DP- It has been widely reported that she is. She’s been selling personal belongings to help fund her lifestyle. It’s not easy to blow through hundreds of millions when you have a lifestyle like hers. Look at Nicholas Cage and Johnny Depp- they both earned more $$$& than she did and spent their fortunes and they didn’t have multiple kids with their own nannies and full-time tutors.

And the public appetite for Angelina has shifted. She was the wild child turned UN Ambassador. Now she is seen as the isolated mean woman hellbent on alienating their kids from Brad Pitt, and not a meaningful actress. This shift - when the shine is off - is coming for H and M, and will be ugly. Looking at the Brangelina fall from grace, it will happen in less than a decade. That terrible By The Sea movie they did together was the beginning of the end.

Not sure about “soon,” but it is true that they need to cash in now, because surely even they know this gravy train isn’t going to last (and their behavior seems to confirm that). Say they have accumulated $100 million cash by now (which may be high, some of these deals seem to be “on the come”), as young as they are, they shouldn’t spend more than about 3% per year if they want the $$ to last forever. $3 million a year is a lot of money, but won’t come close to supporting the lifestyle Harry is used to and Meghan wants. If they really were going to go live quietly in the country, maybe. But they could have easily done that in England on the Crown’s dime.

She’s desperately trying to offload her interest in Miraval, their French wine estate.

I want to be her type of flat broke. Jolie's NW is 120 million American dollars and that flop movie put $20 million dollars in her bank account. https://www.thelist.com/435721/angelina-jolies-stunning-net-worth-revealed/

Yep. Like a lot of actors, she spends a lot of money. She's spent all of her money and has been selling assets. Maybe she just doesn't like them anymore?

Um, I do not think I will take your word as an anonymous poster. These people say differently at the tune of 120million. On top of that, do you people really not believe that Brad Pitt who is worth three times Jolie is not paying some of those children expenses. Good grief.

Nicholas Cage was out buying multi-million dollar dinosaur skeletons and ancient castles in Germany.

They have a veritable goldmine of salacious tales about the BRF. That will keep them in money for a long, long time.

Proof that money does not equate to class. Even for "royalty".

When you marry an American, you become common

Well he is a veteran so he did more than the other Royals in his age group. Being in combat twice could definitely fill a book.

I was a helicopter pilot in extensive combat for 17 years. I have nothing to say that hasn’t been said before.
How is Harry’s 20 week deployment in Helmand of interest?

I guess Winston Churchill was common. His mother was born-and-raised in Brooklyn, New York. You should tear down all those statues dedicated to him and instruct your overflowing history books.

Did he even go to college/university?

No and while he was a good athlete in school he wasn’t known for his scholarly prowess.

Harry was overly protected whilst in the military. His wanting to play soldier cost many their goals. He never was in danger as others covered for him.
