A lot of the complaining families are from STA. DC did not allow the school to hold practices on campus and the school made not effort to find practice facilities outside of DC. Their lacrosse and basketball teams played in MD and VA leagues under false names, but other teams like football never made any real effort to practice.

St Albans has been anti athletics as part of the HS experience for several years. I would have thought with VANCE gone, the new headmaster would have made a better effort.

Will STA have lacrosse practice on campus next week?

Spalding Beat SJC 11-9

Spaulding will surprise teams in the MIAA this year, they have been building the past few years under a Phipps.

I’m calling it now but SJC takes a step back this year, while talented, they are young and their senior class is not that deep.

100%. Spaulding is legit and has added some transfers and has a tremendous staff.
SJC will ALWAYS be the two or three in the WCAC.

Except SJC has recently won the WCAC and would have won last year with Haley. This poster must be the same person because they've both misspelled Spalding the same way. I'm sure Wes played backups in 2nd half. Based on what I saw this past fall of the NL Cadets, however, SJC is in trouble if the starting goalie gets hurt.

Yes SJC played Backs up. Spalding did not.

It’s a covid scrimmage, who cares about the end result.

Is the WCAC allowing out of league competition this Spring? Is the IAC allowing non league games?

Would love to see annual matchups like we always do with Gonzaga vs Prep, Landon va SJC, Bullis vs Gonzaga, etc etc

IAC needs to step up and play the WCAC schools. They have the room for Pete's sake, except for the Prep construction.

I could be wrong here but I'm almost certain the WCAC is not allowing non league games this Spring, obviously this could change as CDC continues to loosen restrictions.

I believe SJC has gone rouge the past few weekend with scrimmages with MIAA teams and is playing under a club affiliation. Gonzaga seems to be abiding by the league rules as are other teams in the WCAC.

Love it!
Gonzaga playing under the league rules along with other WCAC schools.
Too funny.
You should ask your son’s high school coach what the rules are regarding scrimmages, and practice during the off-season.

Nothing wrong with a predominantly league only schedule this year. IAC and WCAC crowns are all that matter at the end of the year. Just glad we are playing! Although I agree, the Prep SJC and Gonzaga Bullis matchups have been awesome.

12-8 SJC over BL

Did anyone else hear that SJC pulled out of scrimmage with Bullis? Anyone know why?
