Yes, you’re still an idiot. But hey, you can move to Texas and be free as a bird with a lot of (ventilated) company.

Won’t ever be lifted?? Give me a break. We will move to a red state and enjoy life without masks if the blue states are this ridiculous much longer.

I think in the DMV masks and social distancing are definitely here to stay. We in this area have rightly made these small actions part of our daily lives. I’m happily surprised how disciplined the people are here.

She's 6. Explaining that her life is over is kinda tough, O Super Parent.

This. You explain that things are changing. Let her know when you were growing up, rhwre was no Internet or going online. Or YouTube or Siri. I told my daughter when I was her age I had to be on time for my favorite show, because if you missed it, that was it! No reruns until it was syndicated for at least as long as it took to develop an iPod and get rid of the Walkman and Casio tape recorders.

She looks at me like I have three heads when I say that.

Point being, it is more taxing for us to transition, than the kids. We can encourage them to look at things creatively and finding new ways to connect in the community.

Don’t fall on the sword just yet.

Jesus is coming back soon. Will you be ready? The bridegroom is coming.

1. What's wrong with a vaccine passport? Countries who aren't yet vaccinated/don't have the luxury of having as much vaccine roll out want to ensure we aren't going over and spreading Covid.
2. I hope this means that if someone is sick that they will wear a mask when they leave the house (have a cold? have the flu? and all the other crap that adults feel like they should come into an office building full of people with and cough all over us? hey, you can wear a mask now!)

Other than that, this isn't forever OP. Chill out.

Don't slam the door on your way out.

Once we reach herd immunity, I'd think it very silly if mask mandates continue. Are there people that want us to continue masking once the pandemic is over? Sure, if you're sick and need to go out in public, wear a mask (this was not uncommon in several Asian countries before the pandemic). But otherwise, no thanks.

But, if even if the mandates continue, the life I knew is hardly over

You're nuts, OP!

How's the "new normal" treating you today, OP?

What’s wrong with separate seating for black and brown people? Apparently nothing. What’s wrong with mixing all unvaccinated people together? Apparently nothing.

Yes, masks when sick if people must go out is a good idea. Staying home when symptomatic is best.
