If my daughter was a performer I’d respect her choices for a costume. I’d make sure to teach her that women come in different styles and that a costume is just that, a costume.

This was my exact thought! As a young person, I went to many punk shows and the girls who crowd surfed got groped while the girls who jumped in the mosh pit got punched.

A 10 year old might not realize that. In real life, women do get groped when crowdsurfing or even walking in a bar/club. It’s not okay (obviously), but it happens.

The kid was worried about her safety. He was smart enough to imagine a scenario of drunk men in the stands doing something wrong. Perhaps if the mothers on dcum taught their daughters to avoid dangerous situations...

While all the 40 something house fraus thought JLo looked hot (and ftr she did), I imagine most kids were like, “Who’s that?” They don’t know her music and they wondered why a mom was dressed that way and dancing on a pole.

As a spicyass latina I love it! It was a great representation of my culture and my generation. I knew every single song and only wished it was longer performance. I could not be more proud!! I watched it with my kids and was happy she recognized some of Jlos hits. These women transcend generation.
The pole dance was more of a microwave warming show. Nevertheless I want to see the movie now.
This was the first time I actually waited and watched a halftime performance live. Never watched Justin or Matchbox not... well I did catch the insync tribute on youtube.
Anyways I wouldn't change not one dress.
Also Jlo was grabbing her crotch only to protect her lady bits from spil

Dp but I’ll make the leap since you are trying to play dumb and confused. If you cannot teach your son not to grope women or if he is associating that being groped is determined by what a woman wears that’s a problem. If your son believes men will automatically grope a woman for what she is wearing, then the male figures aren’t doing much to lead by example. Women can wear whatever they want. Performers can wear any costume they want to perform in. Men do not have the right to touch a woman no matter what she is wearing or if she is passed out (ie Brock Turner). How many people want to blame a woman for getting raped bc of what she is wearing. Nope nope nope. Teach your sons better.
