If my daughter was a performer I’d respect her choices for a costume. I’d make sure to teach her that women come in different styles and that a costume is just that, a costume. |
| Lot of crotch shots. And that thing shakira was wearing or was it jlo? Looked like a sanitary napkin stuck in there. |
| This thread is hilarious. Why do women hate hot women? |
Jealousy... plain and simple. It's why beautiful girls in MS/HS are bullied. |
Workforce too. |
Same! |
and it's the job of the mother to correct him. 1. that is not a crowd they are dancers. 2. they better not grope her... women are not responsible for men's actions. Most young kids know who all the artists are, maybe your kids should not be so close minded. He must not know baseball or soccer either. |
The same thing was said about Elivs moving his hips. People are crazy. The pearl clutchers are saying Shakira looked like a stripper too with all the crotch shots. |

As a spicyass latina I love it! It was a great representation of my culture and my generation. I knew every single song and only wished it was longer performance. I could not be more proud!! I watched it with my kids and was happy she recognized some of Jlos hits. These women transcend generation.
The pole dance was more of a microwave warming show. Nevertheless I want to see the movie now. This was the first time I actually waited and watched a halftime performance live. Never watched Justin or Matchbox not... well I did catch the insync tribute on youtube. Anyways I wouldn't change not one dress. Also Jlo was grabbing her crotch only to protect her lady bits from spil |
| I was very underwhelmed |
Curious how you made the leap from recognizing inappropriate sexual content to raising a Brock Turner. Care to elaborate on this mental leap? Can’t wait to hear what you come up with. |
NO. You teach your son to respect women. |
He thinks it is a woman's fault when she gets groped ... she wore the clothes, she wiggled her hips, she put her self in the situation, she caused it... if women would just act whatever way this 10 yo thinks she should act she won't get assaulted. That is some serious f'd up thinking in a 10 year olds brain. |
Dp but I’ll make the leap since you are trying to play dumb and confused. If you cannot teach your son not to grope women or if he is associating that being groped is determined by what a woman wears that’s a problem. If your son believes men will automatically grope a woman for what she is wearing, then the male figures aren’t doing much to lead by example. Women can wear whatever they want. Performers can wear any costume they want to perform in. Men do not have the right to touch a woman no matter what she is wearing or if she is passed out (ie Brock Turner). How many people want to blame a woman for getting raped bc of what she is wearing. Nope nope nope. Teach your sons better. |
| These PPs are basically telling her sons that women don’t have choices about their bodies—I’m sure they’re pro-lifers too. |
