Not sure what its a nickname for, but just makes me think of a balding, obnoxious guy in chinos.

Tyler - just rednecky and annoying

Jack - always an obnoxious little brat

Chip is the son, wherever dad and son have the same names. Instead of "Junior" I guess.

As a child of the seventies I was given one of these hideous names. Thanks.

I have one, too, but I was a child of the sixties!

+1, but born in the 80's-- I was always the only one in my class, which seems to be pretty desirable on this board....

The seventies names are pretty awful. If anyone names their kid "Rhonda" in this decade, just ugh...

Interesting. I actually feel Beatrice is worse. (I have no skin in this game; I have neither a Beatrice nor a Beatrix.)

Mine are:
Brittany, Jaden (boy or girl)

Absolutely same! I hate Jayden, Aiden, and Hayden (yuck!!!!!!!). Trying so hard to sound preppy/attractive, but probably unattractive and mildly white trash.

Not mildly. VERY.

What if you know AA kids named Jayden? Can the parents be both black and white trash? Kind of a gray trash?

PP back. I actually do know one Jayden who is 1/2 black and 1/2 white.

Natalie

It's actually a nice name, but was ruined by a stuck up college classmate who would always correct anyone who pronounced her name with the typical American enunciation (Nad-ah-lee). She'd always say "It's Nat-uh-lee" with extra emphasis on the "t".

My niece is Beatrix (Bea) and I love it. Her mom is British and they live in the most hipster part of Brooklyn so it works. It's really grown in me.

I have a friend whose name is spelled Nathalie. Her mother is from Luxembourg, and I believe that is the European way of spelling the name.

Wouldn't you be pissed if someone mispronounced your name?

Hmmm, I think they also use "th" in the spelling of "Mathilde."

Me too. We however know so many Jadens that when clarifying he is described as "black and white Jaden". Asian Jaden is referred to as "Jaden-Jaden" because we see him all the time. T

My classmate and her family were from Illinois. She was just pretentious.
