Trump is, at the end, predictable. He blusters, throws his considerable weight around (literally and figuratively), then in the end, backs off because, thankfully, people, other than the R politicians, stand up to bullies. I hate bullies with a passion.

I am a former R and have always believed in strong foreign policy and supported Israel. I stopped supporting Israel years ago when they kept bullying the Palestinian people. Trump's foreign policy is an unmitigated disaster, both in his first administration and the current one.

WTF happened to the R party? Hegseth.. really? Rs are so pathetic.

Maybe there is a method to his madness? Maybe the bluster is calculated on his end to get Israel off his back

The problem with that is Trump is a thrall of Israel.

Iran just stopped all passage of oil tankers through Hormuz because Israel broke the ceasefire with its continuous attack on Lebanon. It's over before it began.

It’s so insane and all over the place I have to wonder if it is intentional. If not, he is truly too unfit and incompetent to lead. He is trying to both intimidate Iran beyond belief but also fool his Ally by working with Iran and collecting tolls together???? It’s all such a mess. I guess he wants to keep everyone on their toes.

I’m not sure. Trump is not under the thumb of anyone but his own emotions. One day, Iran is monstrous and needs to be genocided and the next day, they are great business partners for collecting money together at the Strait of Hormuz. I’m sure the Gulf states and Israel are shocked but why should they be? Trump is not loyal to anyone or anything

The haste by the US to declare an end may now give Iran’s regime an opportunity - to finally obtain sanctions relief in return for abandoning nuclear enrichment on terms similar to those nearly agreed in Geneva before the war broke out.

However, it has taken five weeks of bombing to get to this point.

In all the US vs Iran war simulations the Pentagon did, we lost every time going back to the Carter administration. There’s a reason we didn’t go to war to get the hostages in 1979.

I’m a patriotic American but come on. Who goes to a losing battle willingly?

Trump has obviously come to his senses and realized this is a trap. Iran is geographically blessed. The tall dense mountain ranges they have alone would be a death trap for our soldiers. Why do you think Israel won’t declare war and send troops to Iran? It’s no surprise our plane was shot down over one of their mountains supposedly during the start of our failed ground invasion. I think that’s why Trump was raging all weekend because the operation failed.

Why should we send troops to their death? There’s a reason Carter, Reagan, and five other presidents didn’t

It was the Iranian navy making threats, without Tehrans permission. An interesting development.

Trump has a chance to do some good and turn on Israel or put them in their place. I doubt he will, but it'd be a great development for the world.

There’s also a rumor that the WH is hiding the real casualty number and it’s already in the thousands. The military hospital in Germany is at capacity with mortally wounded.

What’s even more surprising is Iran didn’t need fancy aircraft carriers or defense systems. All they needed was cheap drones, ballistic and hypersonic missiles. They haven’t even used their top tier equipment. They are playing this smart. Meanwhile, we are losing and using so much expensive planes, missile defense radar systems, and other gadgets that have all been tested and at worst destroyed by Iran. We’ve lost hundreds of billions of dollars already in just 30 days of war

Meanwhile, Iran is making billions charging tankers to across the strait of Hormuz. We’ve made them richer and more powerful than before. We gave them leverage over us.

When will the blame game begin? Who will be first to fall on the sword for this disaster? Hegseth? Netanyahu? Trump?

🇺🇸🇱🇧 US President Trump confirms Lebanon is not included in the ceasefire agreement with Iran.

JUST IN: 🇮🇷 Iran warns it will withdraw from the ceasefire if Israel continues attacks on Lebanon.

While some ships are cautiously on the move in the Gulf making their way towards the strait of Hormuz, communications on many remain either switched off or jammed, likely by Iran.
Unreliable communications are usually the work of hostile actors.

At this point, Iran, the US, and Israel are all hostile actors.

I thought the iranian Navy was destroyed?

You don't need big navy for that.
Just small speed boats and mines
