I agree with this. If Trump really starts a pivot on how he approaches Iran, he'll pivot at SecDef as well (framing it all as a positive). Hegseth doesn't get 2+ years at this role, and he should have known that all along.

I am a former R and have always believed in strong foreign policy and supported Israel. I stopped supporting Israel years ago when they kept bullying the Palestinian people. Trump's foreign policy is an unmitigated disaster, both in his first administration and the current one.
