+1. If a potential CM will make excuses for not showing up to a debate with people that might be ideologically opposed, then how can we trust them to show up when they have to do the hard work |
| Between not showing up to the first forum and having to refund donations due to ineptitude, Lisa Gore's campaign is off to a hilariously bad start. I hope she realizes she is fundamentally unqualified and drops out. |

DC Justice Lab was the moderator? That's like having AOC moderate a debate between Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump.
Who on earth put this event together? It should be a local political journalist, of which we have many. I wouldn't have showed up either, what a scam. |
Very often, CMs have to work with groups they don't agree with. Lisa agreed, and then backed out. That is a troubling decision that doesn't reflect well on how she would perform when having to do things as a councilmember. |
Oh please. She would have needed a clothespin on her nose to ward off the stink. Good for her. |
Very good messaging to her constituents... |
Agreed. Good on Lisa Gore for refusing to associate with a toxic org whose crime proposals are so outlandish that the Democrat-led federal government intervened to stop them. |
| honestly, it seems like a sign of weakness that JLG is willing to debate her challenger six months before an election. incumbents usually want no such thing because it just gives the challenger more opportunity to introduce themselves to voters. JLG clearly thinks she's in danger of losing. |
I think its very good that you and PP have each other. |
| Has JGL mentioned what she thinks about the secure dc crime bill? |
Did Janeese talk about how we can't arrest 17-year olds even if they murder someone because jail would "traumatize" them? |
No |

Yes I've read the article and she didn't say that at all |
Well that's not going to stop the police union goonies from saying she did. Crime! Crime! Crime! |
