Carrie Bradshaw was not good looking enough for her dating life

So it isn't unrealistic to me that Carrie attracted the men she did.

i don't think spj is attractive, but the hate she gets for her looks is off the charts, and i think there is some weird envy/gatekeeping in it -- like because she has the hair and the body, she scored some sort of unfair cheat card for not needing to have a pretty face. like george w bush getting admitted to yale because of his wealth and legacy, despite being dumb and a bad student. sorry folks -- this is how things land sometimes.

I think you hit the nail on the head. People are accepting of beautiful women having certain privileges because that’s how life works. It confuses and outrages people when a below average looking woman like SJP also lucked into certain privileges reserved for those born beautiful; money, fame, comfort, status as a trend setter or what have you.

It confuses people.

This is how I know you're a below average woman when it comes to looks . By the way , she's had work done . Additionally , work done works when you're already good looking which she isn't.

What the actual F is wrong with you?

Uh? What's wrong with me ? I guess if I, like the majority, don't buy into the scam of sjp as a paragon of beauty , then yes! I'll proudly something right is wrong with me .

Are you ESL, a self-misogynistic woman, a man who has never had his dick wet outside of a handful of Curel, what?

None of this changes the fact that, sjp has the face of a Kentucky derby reject horse .

So yeah, you’re a wreck. And on Christmas Day! (Or any day). Tsk tsk, loser.

In a country where a growing number have no religious affiliation , this isn't the zinger you think it is. I get it , holding an ugly woman as a paragon of beauty makes uglies like you cope with the fact that you lost the good looks lottery big time

No. You just don't get it at all.

Carrie Bradshaw was never supposed to be a paragon of beauty.

Her character was more like a cute, fashionable, maybe mildly neurotic girl in NYC in the 90s that a lot of east coast women could totally relate to, and we loved to see what she would wear.

Don’t even respond to this thing anymore. He’s just an insane, lonely guy.

I think you calling her below average will bring you in direct conflict with a vocal minority here . What you said is mostly true but that's not the point of this thread. There are a few here who Ara adamant that we see her as a beauty.

Agree. They say things like "she's nothing special" when they are thinking "what does she have that I don't have?" because they don't feel the money, fame, statues, etc is deserved, and believe they are more deserving.

I mean, this is all opinion. Some people think she’s attractive, others don’t. Why are you so hell bent on insisting your opinion is right?

This is demonstrably false. You're attempting to give off the impression that, opinions are evenly split when it comes to her look, they're not .

Beauty is all subjective, so no, it’s not demonstrably false.

Beauty being subjective is always the defense of ugly people .

Hmm not quite . Almost all of the people who find her ugly are not in her industry.

Cute and Carrie Bradshaw don't belong in the same sentence.

I can think of so many other examples of lead characters who aren’t attractive enough for their dating life. This hardly seems like the worst offender.

Literally any skinny woman can look like her with a $500 salon haircut and designer clothes. She’s not attractive. When she’s in normal clothes she looks like an old hag.

And? That changes nothing.

So should she give her millions back? What would make the harpies happy?
