I find this all so odd. Does she have the most traditionally beautiful face? No. But she is in good shape, has charisma, and although not traditionally beautiful, is interesting looking. I think she could land attractive, rich guys.

Yeah this is a really weird thread. I don’t like Carrie the character, and I think it was ridiculous for SJP to play her while refusing to do nude scenes, but I don’t get the crazy hate here. She’s unconventional but still very attractive.

I don't think her looks are the issue. But I think men would have tired of her neuroses and navel-gazing quicker than they did in the show. No super rich guy who has a lot of options wants to deal w all that.

I have been rewatching satc episodes starting from the very beginning, something I haven’t looked at since it first aired on HBO in the late 90s. I now really think that Carrie is an awful, needy, spoiled, amoral, complaining brat. From when she threw a hamburger at the wall or when Big didn’t tell her what she needed to hear, to cheating on Aiden, losing his dog in the process- I really can’t stand her character.

Idk, in real life I see mismatches all the time if we are just going by looks. But I also don't think anyone she dated other than Aiden was much more attractive than her.
She does not look like everyone else, which to many is attractive in itself. As others have said, she always had great hair and I don't think she is/was unattractive at all. Personality wise (I'm talking SATC) she was trash.
