This. Even she does not claim this. And, it is being spread around that is what she is alleging.

FWIW, someone called into C-Span and said a "rapist" should not be on the Supreme Court. The "experts" responding to the comments never corrected the caller who was claiming that Kavanaugh had raped her.

That's pretty irresponsible of them not to catch that--and says a lot about our media--even Cspan.

This is pathetic. And, people wonder why many of us don’t trust the media..........

No one should trust Fox. Or Update America.

Or CNN. Or MSNBC.

Hey, they’re both corporatist entities and both of them hire a lot of questionable folks - including former Trump staffers. But not catching that a caller on a live C-SPAN show used a less precise word isn’t really the same thing as Fox pushing Ed Whelan’s defamation theory of sexual doppelgängers.

A "less precise" word? Is that how you're spinning it? Oh, I said "rape" when it really wasn't? Details, details.

Judge jumped on them allowing Dr. Ford to escape. Seems like Kavanaugh was going to rape her but didn’t get to finish, so yes, “less precise” is accurate. That’s not spin.

It "seemed" like he was going to rape her, according to HER. In the meantime, they have now reduced their accusations to misconduct.

This is the issue that is at the center of this for me. This could have happened last week, been a violent rape, Ford could have video and DNA evidence and it still wouldn’t matter to the GOP because for many of them, women. aren’t. people.

(And I know there will be some goppers who have difficulty with this post, so I will say that very clearly: I am not suggesting that this happened last week, was a violent, or that she has video and DNA evidence. Just that it wouldn’t matter to you if it were the case.

Silly poster.
I am a Republican. I am a woman. Nobody I know who is Republican takes this viewpoint.
You have been led, by the media you watch and read, to believe nonsense because this is their way of firing you up. Looks like their strategy works on you.

Thanks Boris.

Oye. They're still with the Russian stuff when they can't refute.

I refuted it just fine.

(And the GOP has a serious treason problem, but that is quite apart from this mess).

Oh, another accusation that's not proven. What is it with you people?

Kavanaugh accuser Ford fled Washington life -- now she's coming back
https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/christine-bla...8-8792-78719177250f_story.html

Ford went as far away from here as possible.
She told no one for 30 years; the only thing worse than what happened would be others knowing -- the nightmare scenario of which is currently underway.
She became an expert in post-traumatic resilience; Thursday she will face the ultimate test.

Meanwhile Kavanaugh stayed, following the stellar path laid out for him, achieving great success in all facets of life, now sitting atop the Washington society they both grew up in -- many of us know it well.
That society, by and large, is with him. To attack him is to attack them, and the lives they lead.

Amazing Washington story.
Sad for all involved.

Why believe one woman and not another? Whitehouse... Blumenthal... Gilibrand... all of them.

I believe that they don't remember the party (Maybe even Judge, who could have been blacked out)- which is all they state --for them, there is not assault to remember. Only Ford was assaulted and it sticks out in her mind.

This.

But she has said one her lifelong friends was at the party--one of two girls at a party of five. Ford says she locked herself in the bathroom and then disappeared from the party. Her good girlfriend didn't notice and never inquired after her--even though Ford somehow had to travel 12 miles to her house when she was below driving age?

Whose house was the party at? None of the people who were at the party clearly...

This is another mystery. I am glad she is testifying and hope some of the questions that have been raised her come up on Thursday.

Stop it with the Update America. It gave a better breakdown than the Huff Post did of the Huff Post's own poll. HP's write-up seemed designed to obscure the actual results.

I'm the PP who posted the link to the poll, and thanks. The libs here started in with their predictable insults because I dared expose the truth as to how people feel about Ford's credibility. Even HP said the results were "stunning" - and that's because the results were not what they expected. So they wrote around them in an obscure way.

PP here who said stop it with Update America.

I am actually an independent who voted for Hillary. I had never heard of Update America before. But objectively it did a much more credible job than Huff Post of relaying the poll results. Any fair minded person could tell that, and it is worth calling out when someone tries to smear through innuendo.

The WaPo didn't give a direct quote from Keyser on this. Just:

"In a brief interview at her home in Silver Spring, Keyser said that she did not recall the party, but that she was close friends with Ford and that she believes Ford’s allegation."

Allegation what--that sometime, somewhere something bad happened to her? Also doesn't appear that she doesn't live in Silver Spring...

I wondered why they wouldn't quote Keyser directly there. What did they ask her exactly and what was Keyser's response? Odd way of reporting it.

Here's another poll: majority of Americans want the FBI to investigate the allegations.

The FBI already declined to do an investigation after Feinstein passed it to them. It's not their jurisdiction to investigate what would be a state offense involving minors in a private home.

Lindsay graham is another GOP senator to say that no matter what Dr.Ford says he’ll still vote for Kavanaugh. Why put her through this political theater if everyone’s mind is made up.

They investigated the Anita Hill accusations as part of the background check. So you are wrong.

That is because Hill was a federal employee accusing another federal employee of misconduct. Totally different circumstances.
