He already was a 100% partisan who would rule based on the affiliation of the litigants rather than on the law. His whole legal career has been as a Federalist Society/Republican Party hack. He is fully invested in the GOP patronage network, which is the only reason he was nominated. |

http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/585/752150.page#top I find it interesting that the women (Ford, Ramirez) and their supporting witnesses almost all live outside the DC area now. DC insiders still don't want to talk and threaten their personal and professional reputations. |
Which is why sexual assaults are the most unreported crime. |
Avenatti's latest about his client:

Thanks for this. I wish people who know the deal with the women who made the Kav commercial and spoke at the press conference would talk about them. Monsters. |
Avenatti:
I am fairly sure there would be TV interview of this woman this week. GOP, beware! BTW, there is talk about Govt shutdown this Friday. |
With this disaster of a confirmation process, the Rosenstein news, the government is already shutting down. |
It is human nature to act against those who are your enemies. However, I think Kavanaugh is honorable and would remain objective, but it would be hard not to be 100% objective against the people who tried to destroy his career. All of the Democrats wailed and gnashed their teeth upon Pence for his policy of never being alone with any woman other than his wife. Pence's wisdom is looking very good right now. |
Someone reminded me that Douglas Ginsburg's nomination was derailed because he smoked weed. So, progress, I guess.
Kavanaugh should be rejected because he's a partisan hack who made his bones chasing down Vince Foster murder conspiracies and drafting questions about Monica Lewinsky's orgasms and Bill Clinton's ejaculate. He's Robert Bork with a drinking and sexual assault problem. |
You’re a bad person for too many reasons to enumerate. |
What you've described has NOTHING to do with the law. And therefore does not belong on the Supreme Court. |
Exactly! |
IKR. Us evil females did not get to corner him alone and then get him with fake allegations of sexual misconduct. |
That was their motivation, yes, to finally come forward because the stakes are so high. Neither woman wanted to come forward initially, but neither could countenance having a man with a history of sexual assault on the highest court in the land for life. That fear is, ultimately, what forced each of them to speak out. They have zero to gain and much to lose from speaking out, whereas Kavanaugh has everything to gain by lying. There is much evidence about his drinking in high school and college. He belonged to a secret society at Yale known for its mysogyny. Yet the GOP wants to sweep all of this under the rug and confirm this man without investigating these claims and the evidence. I hope this leads to a Democratic takeover of both the house and senate. |
