Probably also incredibly (maybe even more) terrifying for her sister because she presumably does not have as much security as Savannah and still lives in AZ. |
I actually appreciate the honesty! Most of the time they give you some bull about how the public shouldn’t be worried, etc etc, even when they don’t know who did it or why. So it appears targeted. Is it someone who targets relatives of famous people? Or someone who targets elderly women who live alone? He’s right that it would be silly to tell people not to worry when they really know so little. |
| What if she’s found on Easter alive?? |
Oh brother
She is not alive. |
|
The investigation is seriously lagging.
An arrest should have been made by now. |
They don't have a suspect. There will never be an arrest. |
|
I might be late to the game, but can anyone confirm for me if all of the ransom notes received shortly after the investigation began are now considered fake??
Like the ones that TMZ’s Harvey Levin discussed in those lengthy videos? Thx! |
Reminder that Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has an annual department budget of over 170 million dollars! This is why so many Americans want to defund the police. They hoover up most of the tax revenue and provide nothing in return. |
Well, I mean, there could be one in thirty years when they find DNA or someone confesses. |
Well they did respond to more than 117,00 calls for service in 2025. And I’m pretty sure they also serve and execute arrest warrants, run the county jails, perform extraditions to other jurisdictions, operates 911, provided security at 61 schools, seized lots of drugs and illegal weapons, administered naxone dozens of times, enforced traffic laws, and probably a bunch of other stuff. It’s not like this one unusual crime defines their worth as an agency. |
The local police botched this from the beginning and it's really sad. Almost no one is abducted today without a trace; especially when there's camera footage. And they are still "discovering" photos 6 weeks later? WTH? Police also let a pizza delivery guy enter the crime scene in the 1st days of the investigation. Total ineptitude. Savannah should hire a private investigator. |
Yep, I would think it would almost have to be a situation where they arrest someone for a similar crime and they confess to this one or are tied back to it. |
+1 unfortunately since it wasn’t solved quickly, I think it’s going to be one of those cases that years later might get solved. As for Savannah and her family, I feel bad for the lack of resolution and closure. |
I hate these kind of posts. I'm not pro police but it is childish to assume that they can solve every case. People expect them to have magical powers to protect everyone at all times and to resolve every crime. It isn't possible. Random crimes like this are very hard to solve. The criminal wasn't a bumbling idiot as everyone assumed. If any one of you decided to murder a random person tomorrow and were able to avoid cameras, the police anywhere would have a hard time solving that. What bothers me is that people recognize the person in the cameras and haven't come forward or the tip was ignored. Also that isn't a huge budget. You are clueless. |
You can say all of that but there is surprisingly little evidence. No dna hits, no other camera info. Random crimes like this are hard. |
