Hahaha you keep trying to push pyrrhic. Good for you for beefing up our vocabularies.

I think she has admitted a lot has been lost. They already destroyed her reputation well before she started fighting back. And she keeps winning.

They wrote about avocados and baby bump holding and chick fights, tabloid fodder. Through her own case she has confirmed she is a liar and manipulative. That’s what trashed her reputation, along with the Oprah interview. She can’t put that genie back in the bottle.

Lol y’all are delusional. Yes it was all completely innocent coverage and that’s why everyone hates her so much.

There wasn’t even a thread here when the DM was writing about avocados or her spring floor or such nonsense.

It was when they started controlling their own narrative that they became the most mocked couple on the planet.

You must be new. Here's a tip - this is the FOURTH thread consecutively just on Meghan and Harry labeled 'Meghan Markle and Prince Harry...' - there's numerous/dozens of other threads just as long dissecting every moment from the time she was announced as his girlfriend.

This was not a win for her. Taking down the DM won't stop the negative press. It's worldwide, if you take a second to look.

Worldwide? Seems like the island is the only one holding up a torch of hate against the Sussexs and they just got trounced.

Remember - Meghan demanded a full account of the PROFITS they made from her letter over a 2 year period. Now its a 4 year period. And she is acknowledged as the reason the DF was keeping its doors open in the first place from 2017 - 2020.

I will start the bidding at $15 million. This does not include the legal fees they are required to pay on her behalf which total $3 million.

$22.5 million is what I'm thinking now.

Well, okay. Believe whatever you want. There's lots out there. But if the coverage of the appeal is all you're interested, them that's all you'll see.

What happened to the Spotify deal, btw?

It feels like winning when money is more important to a person than family. In Megan's world, everyone in her family on both sides is wrong, except for her mom, kids and Harry. I don't think that's winning.

When someone has family like Thomas and Samantha Markle, and William who throws his brother under the bus via the tabloids, not sure I would want them in my life either. It’s a win for Meghan whether the haters want to acknowledge it or not.

When you don't have a relationship with anyone on your father's side, or anyone on your mother's side except for your mother, or any of your in-laws.... that's a lot more than the 3 people you mentioned. But yes, she has a title now and a payload of money. Given her background, I can see why those things are highly important to her.

Here is part one, started in 2020. Before that there were sporadic threads with few replies. In fact there was even a M&H fans only thread that nobody seems to write on. Please DO KEEP UP with the most mocked couple on the planet.

DP. I don't disagree. But the narrative is that the DM was losing money and was happy to get clicks writing about Meghan. And now they've made tens of millions of profit off of her? I don't understand the math.

They were making tens of millions off her as long as they could make up fake headlines about floating yoga floors, Meghan's 'Commandments', will she/won't she appear on the steps of the Lindo Wing etc from 2017 - 2020.

Once Meghan LEFT the island and transferred to North America the rota really lost a gold mine of information on her via palace sources which leaked everything from 'she eats avocados - the horror!' to 'Meghan got a pregnancy massage and snapped at the masseuse'.

Its actually all covered in the new BBC documentaries - the Princes and the Press - the rota made more money in two years off Meghan and Harry's engagement/wedding/new honeymoon period than they have in 5+ years off the rest of the royal family.

See how the tabloids/rota make their money -

DP. Their press coverage in the US is clearly more positive than in the UK. The second Trump started publicly criticizing Meghan you basically guarantee that the mainstream media will get on their side.

Anonymous wrote:Something I keep thinking about is how the number one attack against Meghan is some iteration of, "I thought she wanted privacy? Why is she in the news/speaking/opening her mouth/getting pictures taken of her?" But neither she nor Harry have EVER even spoken about it. And yet you will consistently find this criticism of them in nearly every single comment section on the internet that pertains to the Sussexes. Shows just how pervasive the toxic influence of the tabloid press can be.

People say “I thought they wanted privacy” because they have complained about the invasion of their privacy and their press coverage. The reality is worse. They have a desperate need for publicity, but whine like children when it isn’t flattering. They want to attack other people, but cry foul when they fight back. Most people revert to the “privacy” argument because they are sane people who realize that you have to take the bad with the good publicity when you choose to live a public life and publicly criticize people who are in a position to get their own side of the story out. They moved to the US because they thought they could do a better job of controlling their PR here. But that doesn’t help when you continue to do dumb things (lie to the Court, call Senators using your title, etc).

When have they ever said anything even remotely similar to, “I would like to leave the public eye” — they haven’t. Everyone is entitled to basic levels of privacy, and they’re hardly the first public figures to speak about invasions of such. It’s just nonsensical illogic.

The biggest invasion of their privacy came from them. They told us about their miscarriage, and peeing in the bushes, and the genetic pain brought by their family, and the racism and on and on. They never shut up. They have an opinion on everything and pay a pretty penny to disseminate it. They bring on frivolous lawsuits wasting taxpayer money for personal letters intended to make their narrative public.

No privacy was invaded in the UK, they did not like the press they got. They don’t like the free press or the first amendment.

+1000000

Plus Megan knew what she was getting into prior to marriage.

No, but she didn’t! She didn’t look up Harry’s family at all. All she wanted to know was whether he was kind!!!! She had no idea what she was getting into. Not a clue!

Yes she was some innocent sheltered person who didn’t know what to expect. Poor thing.

Oh is that how it works? They got more clicks from the Avocado stories than from mocking her Time Magazine cover or her NY trip? They are flush with money from the Mexit stories, they get like 10k comments a pop. And they don’t even have to do anything, Meghan provides the content.

My money is on them taking this to the Supreme Court. They will milk this storyline for all it’s worth.
