The point of the signs is to get votes not save black people.

Do you think it's better to abort Black and Hispanic babies with no limitations at all?

DP here. I think it's better for Black, Latina, Chicana, Indigenous, you name it women to have the freedom to make decisions about what is best for themselves and their families. I don't think I know what's best, nor do I think you know.

I know, and I think you know, that far too many Black and Hispanic babies are aborted.

Given the history of our country, IIMHO the bodily autonomy of minority women is absolutely paramount. Black women were owned, raped, forced to bear children who were stolen... and still are dying in childbirth today.

There's a reason most black people in this country today have some European DNA, because white men raped them and fathered their children. See Thomas Jefferson.

There is no amount of hand wringing about babies that can ever, ever change my mind about the importance of reproductive freedom, ESPECIALLY when you cite black women.

I know, and I think you know too, that far too many BIPOC women die during their pregnancies and L&D. I know, and I think you know too, that far too many BIPOC children live in poverty. I know, and I think you know too, that BIPOC women love their children and families and are best-equipped to know what's right for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Enough with your paternalistic, "compassionate", white supremacy (and that's what this is regardless of your race). You are not protecting BIPOC babies by restricting the rights of their mothers.

+1

The best people to decide about BIPOC women are those women themselves.

They don’t need ignorant politicians or religious extremists forcing their beliefs on them.

So when Nothing happens next week, will some of you feel dumb?

I’m surprised there haven’t bigger protests.

No because the forced birthers proudly showed their hands. They want women to be enslaved to their religious beliefs and they don’t care who dies as a result.

Why are you pretending that the current situation under Bro and Casey provides for “no limitations at all”?

^^^ ROE not Bro, sheesh autocorrect.

No. I’ll feel heard. But I’m not optimistic.

Why should we feel dumb? The SCOTUS confirmed that the leaked draft was a real draft. Are you suggesting it was some kind of decoy designed to make people on the left upset and force RW politicians to say stuff like they have no qualms forcing an 11 y.o. incest victim to carry her father's baby to term?

So, a US senator is saying that we should consider a maternal mortality rate that excluding deaths of black women while also implying that there is an acceptable level of maternal mortality? Did I get that right?

This is sickening.

I can't even with these people anymore...

They're emboldened to say the quiet part out loud.

Black women don't matter to them. They don't count and their deaths don't count.

Abortionists don't care how bmany Black babies get aborted.

Republicans don't care about how many Black women die during pregnancy and childbirth.

You sound patronizing. Why do you think Black and Hispanic women shouldn't have control over their bodies? Feeling nostalgic for the good old days when white men had control over Black women's bodies?

Your lack of concrn for the destruction of babies who are Black or Hispanic is disturbing. If someone like Trump were encouraging Black and Hispanic moms to abort their babies or applauding their choices to do so, I don't think you'd be dismissive of what's happening.

All women should have the choice to continue their pregnancies. I don’t care if some moron you voted for is encouraging them or applauding them or condemning them for deciding to do that or not, but I do care if those morons are taking that choice away from them.
