Well, her parents and 2 siblings did decline to sign the letter of support put together by her husband’s family.

That just means they don’t want to upend their own lives.

Because they know their daughter has issues. And they don’t want to be pulled into the crazy.

OR they are stuffy country club types who don’t want to alienate their friends. I know people like this, who would not stand up for their child. Because of who they would have to see at “the club.”

I think Collins and Murkowski won’t vote for him after seeing that rage.

Nah. They'll declare Ford has had a fair hearing and vote yes.

Sadly, so so sadly, I agree.

And then they'll commit hari kari

He came off as arrogant, entitled and I articulate. If this is the best of the best that Georgetown Prep and Yale are putting out then it’s a shame.

His relationship with alcohol is obviously problematic and something he’s ashamed of. If anything, I hope this is the push for him to get the help he needs.

Kudos to Dr. Ford, even if he gets confirmed, at least she gave us the opportunity to see him for who he really is.

This forum off the rails, but this really takes the cake. You honestly think it is possible that Brett Kavanaugh has posted on autoadmit?

Exactly. Aren’t liberals the ones always complaining that men don’t show their emotions enough? If he hadn’t shown his very real disgust and devastation, they’d all be claiming he was too calm, cold, and disinterested. There is simply nothing that will ever please this crowd.

I was very impressed with his forcefulness. The time for being polite and deferential (which he certainly was in previous hearings) is OVER. I’m glad he’s speaking up for himself.

“Liberals” aren’t “always” anything. The man’s rage scared me.

Who wouldn’t upend their lives for their daughter and sister in this circumstance??? At best she’s got a crappy family.

Isn’t sleeping with a drunk person “rape” according to feminists?

Anonymous wrote:So Ford describes the assault as the most traumatic event of her life. Yet she doesn’t know where it occurred - what street or what house, she doesn’t know how she got there or
how she left, and she wasn’t even sure what year, let alone what month or day it occurred. And everyone she identified as being there denies any knowledge of it or outright refutes it.

With only an allegation unsupported by any proof, how can so many of you feel ok about ruining a man’s life and career. It’s simply unbelievable.

You know Kavanaugh said the same thing. That this was ruining his family and career. I don’t get it. All he ever needed to say was “I am very sorry this happened to her. I don’t believe that I did this but it was a long time ago when I was doing some heavy drinking so it is possible that it did. I am sorry for her suffering and wish her the best.” Then it would have been OVER. That is what a mature and psychologically stable person would have done.

Instead, Kavanaugh appears to believe that reputation is everything, that you are either Good or Bad, so even a hint of taint regarding something from 35 years ago is RUINING HIS FAMILY AND CAREER.

If he was really drinking as much as Judge’s memoir claims, how could he possibly know what he did or didn’t do?

Judge’s brain was pickled by alcohol and leukemia drugs.

His “forcefulness” is the reason he was there in the first place. He comes off like an entitled brat who just found out he’s grounded right before it’s time to leave for beach week. If only Mom grounded him earlier, so he would have had a chance to convince her to change her mind earlier. If Ford came forward earlier, he could have thought up some more doppelgängers and tie it to the Comet Ping Pong child sex ring conspiracy.

Perhaps. That doesn’t make her wrong or “crazy” as PP’s have accused.

Hamilton fans. Was anyone thinking of these lyrics:

“You and your words obsessed with your legacy. Your sentences border on senseless and you are paranoid in every paragraph. How they perceive you!”

(From “Burn.”)

It was running on repeat in my head as he went on and on about grades and basketball and Yale, etc.
