This isn’t a normal family or a normal young couple. Gabby wasn’t just some college gf that they met once @ Thanksgiving

She lived in their house for over a year . Brian’s parents were immeshed in their lives ( the payment to fly home after the Utah cops and all the help with the storage unit )

They gave Gabby a job at their juice business

She was the answer to their “ Brian problem “ cause without her , he is a 23 year old living in his boyhood bedroom doodling in his child like style and working at a grocery store

Not to mention possession of a vehicle not registered to their son parked on their property - anyone would want confirm from Gabby , atleast verbally, that Brian had her Auth on that

These parents were calling all the shots from the time Brian called them to confess, imho - hence the lawyer up with the family friend from Long Island

A 23 year old loser with no job and no education beyond HS doesn’t pull that together on his own

Their kid is dead- instead of turning himself in - because they are crappy parents

You clearly don’t know what you are talking about.

First off you mention that BL had a job at a grocery store but then say “no job” - perhaps your privileged self thinks that’s akin to no job. But everything re his education, job, and reliance on parents was EXACTLY if not more what Gabby was. So how about you not disrespect her by judging him so disgustingly for -“” that (for what he did is a totally diff issue). Gabby didn’t have education beyond HS. After HS, she worked in the kitchen and as a hostess at a restaurant. Then when she moved to North Port to live with Brian, she worked Publix, the same grocery job he worked at. She later worked at Taco Bell. And for a few months this year before the trip; she worked the counter at an organic juice bar.

You are wrong that she worked for the Laundrie’s. She did not work for them. She worked for a few months at a local organic juice shop, completely unconnected with their business.

You mentioned she lived in the Laundrie parents house for over a year- Wrong. Except for an extended stay for a couple weeks in June, they never lived with Brian’s parents. They had their own condo.

You mentioned Brian living in his boyhood bedroom - First of, Brian grew up in Long Island, not Florida. He doesn’t have a childhood room in that North Port house. Second, he didn’t “live” there. They got rid of the condo they were living in and he stayed with his parents for a couple weeks before the trip then for a couple weeks after returning. He had not otherwise lived with his parents since high school.

Lol
Ok , if Brian was an independent, successful adult how much did he buy his North Port condo for, what were his monthly condo fees and how did that compare to his job at the check out counter at the super market ?

The childhood bedroom is assumed from the real estate photos of the listing of the parents at home - ya know with the cringe worthy “ art work “ - I’d call it pre-pubescent doodling - on the bookshelf . It matched the so called drawings in his sketch book

Honestly, Gabby might have had just as ooor of an education and start in life, but atleast her attempt at a blog shows some ambition. No doubt that is why he put her down for it

The PP praising Brian doesn’t realize his PARENTS owned that condo and paid for it - not him.

North Port explains why they lost track of Brian. They think he and his mom look similar. They say they saw him leave on Monday Sept 13 and the mustang came back on Wednesday Sept 15. Roberta drove the mustang home. They assumed it was Brian. They had multiple cameras set up watching the Laundrie house. Now the parents are gone. Will they be reported missing soon too??

Has anyone else noticed it looks like Roberta has a long sleeve on one arm? I saw it in other photos, just noticed it here too.

Is she hiding bruises or something? Or is this for medical reasons? It looks like a compression stocking, but on one arm.

The Laundries have lied about so much. How do we know those are Brian’s dental records ? There are 11 years between Cassie & Brian - did they have any other kids , adopted maybe ? How extensive / unique were the dental records ? Did he have bite wings going back every 2 years since he was 6 years old , plus fillings or is Brian a kid with no cavities and no X-rays of his teeth and we are basing the ID on number of teeth ?

Really , I think they should get a marrow sample like they did on Lacey Peterson and see if it’s a match to Roberta Laundrie’s myDNA

Then and only then will I be satisfied that F’ ker is dead

The parents are just too suspect and Brian behaved in just too cold blooded a manner - this is always learned at home

Although not a forensic dentist, I am a dentist who has taken some classes in forensic dentistry. You can’t make a positive ID on number of teeth alone, nor do you need bitewings going that far back. You would just need the latest ones, or even just a panorex, with unique and verifiable fillings, crowns, anomalies of anatomy - things like that. They wouldn’t announce a match if they weren’t 100% sure.

Thank you for responding, dentist PP. I'm going to ask another dental records question. I know it'll sound very ignorant, but I am very ignorant on the subject, lol. Would LE request the records from the dentist, or would they be willing to accept records provided by the parents?

The dentist I’m sure. Patients can only get copies of the originals, so if the parents had those they would likely obtain the originals. Would the parents even have the record? I don’t have copies of mine, my husbands or my kids. They’re all at our dentist office.

But what if Brian had no fillings and hadn’t had X-rays in like 10 years ?

Isn’t it better to do Mt dna ?
p

That’s the point. If he had no fillings and hadn’t had x-rays in years, they likely wouldn’t have been able to definitively identify him. He had to have something in his mouth/jaw/teeth that enabled them to make a positive ID.

Anonymous wrote:People are going to realize the huge, disgusting mistake they made about the parents. No one has been looking at this objectively but if you listen through all of the interviews and reports, you can see the other side. It’s insane how much misinformation has been put out there and believed

- When Brian returned, he told his parents that Gabby and he broke up and she went with her bestfriend who was in fact planning on meeting Gabby in Yellowstone on the 30th. Gabby decided to stay with the friend and let Brian take the van back home. Best friend lives near them in North Port, so Brian said Gabby was going to head back with her after Yellowstone. (My speculation - this is why he texted Gabby’s mother on the 30th from Gabby’s phone saying heading to Yosemite, no service. He effed up and actually meant to say Yellowstone where everyone including her parents knew she was planning to meet the friend for the friend’s birthday.)

- Brian was acting down and “off” at times between the 1-11, but it was chalked up to him and his fiancée having just broken off a long term engagement.

- The Petitos according to all of their own statements never even tried to reach Brian or the Laundries until the 10th. Gabby’s mom said she tried texting Brian and Roberta on this day. She actually didn’t have Brian’s number at that time. He returned to North Port without his phone (likely ditched it and Gabby’s someplace random before heading back- it still has yet to be found and has been off since the 30th), and he had told his parents he lost it on the trip. On Sept. 4, Brian and his mom went to ATT and got Brian a new phone on a new phone plan. He did not transfer his number over; he got a new number. Gabby’s mom never had that number- she was presumably texting his old phone. As to Roberta’s texts, there are mixed stories here, and I frankly don’t know which is accurate. However, the Laundrie’s maintain they never received any calls or texts from the Petitos. Perhaps they aren’t telling the truth, perhaps Brian interceded and deleted them, or perhaps Nicole had the wrong number. I don’t know.

- The first the parents heard anything about Gabby being missing was the evening of the 11th around 7pm when they received a CALL from law enforcement asking if they knew where Gabby and Brian were. They naturally got confused and said Brian was home and they didn’t know where Gabby was. The LE then explained how Gabby was missing and they were looking for her and the van. The parents responded that the van was at their house. They asked to speak with Brian. I don’t know the details of what transpired in the house within that moment but Brian refused to get on the phone and the call ended shortly after that. This news about the van and Brian triggered NY LE who were handling the case since it was filed there to immediately contact North Port LE and get them involved. FBI also got involved within this same time period. North Port police got their papers in order to seize the van and went to the Laundrie’s house at around 11pm. They knocked on the door to serve the papers and ask to speak with Brian. Parents provided keys and access to the van and said Brian had an attorney so they need to contact him. Van was ultimately towed off shortly after midnight. Brian had apparently engaged and spoken with Bertolino between the NY LE call and the North Port police arriving at the house which was actually only a matter of a few hours (3-4hrs). Bertolino in the meantime had reached out to the NY LE to receive information about the matter. Bertolino instructed all laundries not to speak with anyone.

- On Sunday, Bertolino spoke with FBI and North Port Police a couple of times and spoke with Brian at least once. My understanding is that Brian unequivocally did not admit what happened to his parents, but his behavior was becoming very alarming and erratic. I don’t know if or what he told Bertolino.

- The hatred and finger pointing at Brian was very immediate and overwhelming even as early as that Sunday. He was receiving 100s of death threats and disgusting messages on all his social media platforms and people were already bombarding them outside the house. This was causing him to downward spiral. Probably didn’t help that Grand Teton was the primary search area, and he knew she was there. He also was panicky about the fact that Gabby’s mom figured out the last two texts from Gabby’s phone (in which he made stupid “mistakes”) were unlikely to be Gabby.

- On Monday morning, the above continued at an even more alarming pace. He was already the presumed suspect #1 in every medium. Brian spoke with Bertolino that morning and was told the grim situation - how it doesn’t look good and what he could be facing in xyz scenario. Gabby’s mom and stepdad gave a presser this day that Brian watched. It pushed him over the edge presumably with guilt and remorse. That’s when he insisted on leaving the house to hike in Myakkahatchee. He was in an obviously bad state - even worse than prior days - so dad tried to stop him (i think this was over the phone because he wasn’t home at the time), but Brian didn’t listen and stormed out. Rest his history - he presumably offed himself almost immediately.

- That evening, Bertolino had a regular call with FBI and during it he mentioned in passing that Brian left earlier for a hike and had not yet returned. Parents were freaked out at Brian not being back but Bertolino said he told FBI so they would look. Chris Laundrie still decided to check for Brian that evening but it was really dark and he couldn’t see anything at Myakkahatchee so he didn’t stay long before returning home. Saw and left mustang there.

- Tuesday - Chris and Roberta went back to look for Brian. Spent a few hrs. The area was incredibly flooded - waist high so they couldn’t go off trail. It was also raining pretty badly. While there, they saw the car again, this time with citation. Roberta used their spare key to drive it back and Chris drove the truck back.

- Wednesday- they tried searching the reserve again but had the same problem as the day prior. They were very worried at this point but then this day, Brian was officially named a person of interest. Bertolino was crunched and felt a conflict of interest (best interests to Brian not to say he is missing and they are concerned bc he was distraught but best interests to parents to do just that), so said he needed to get legal advice before they could do anything. He could not file the missing person report without violating his responsibilities as Brian’s attorney because would have disclosed that Brian was distraught on Monday and panicky- would have implicated him. Also couldn’t advise parents to for same reason. They didn’t think Brian was a harm to himself so he didn’t see a loophole. Bertolino got legal opinion on Thursday - couldn’t make report.

- Friday- Someone else - not the parents or Bertolino- filed the missing person complaint re Brian. Still unclear who but maybe another attorney whose advice was sought. There has also been some reports that parents have another attorney they are working with who is based in Orlando - might have been him/her. That attorney is reportedly purposefully staying under the radar but was necessary to navigate conflicts issues that were arising for Bertolino.

Oh, and most importantly, Chris and Roberta had no idea other than speculation based on Brian’s behavior before leaving then going MIA that Gabby was dead until it came out in the news that her body was found. This has all been a devastating blindside to them

But did they ever try to dial her cell phone? Did they ever try to see her side of the story if they assumed she were alive? That is my question. If they knew she was dead they knew there was no point in trying to reach out to her.

Not to my knowledge but remember, you’re talking about a situation in which they learned she was missing and something might be amiss from FBI and three jurisdictions of police reaching out for Brian and showing up with a seizure order for the van. They called Bertolino, who is Chris’ best friend of 20+ years to basically say wtf? And they were advised not to talk with anyone. They were also told from that first conversation when they learned everything that everyone and the parents have been trying to reach her to no avail and no phone. It would actually be irrational to think, “gee, let me try to call her” but who knows? Maybe she did try.

Her father coming by the house would’ve tipped them off as well though. In that position, as a parent, you would try to contact Gabby to atleast say your dad is looking for you please call him - unless you knew she would not be able to answer the phone.

The father never went there. That was also misinformation. He didn’t even know where the parents live. He knew only where Gabby and Brian lived, which was on their own in a conso

You’re reaching. Listen, the guy is reprehensible- he freaking murdered the girl. I was in no way trying to defend him. But I’m also not about to project or support insults that just make the person spewing them seem incredibly unhinged, unreasoned, and quite frankly, dumb. Gabby and Brian had very very similar “life profiles,” if you will. NOT referring to similar mental and emotional well-being, but to lifestyle, education, and employment. While you may find his artwork to not be your taste (and not do I), it reflects creativity and is actually quite good from an artistic skill perspective. He sold created things and sold them on various forums. He converted a regular, old van into one capable of being lived in and traveled in across country. He disliked materialistic things and TV and computers. He had a passion for reading and could spend hours in quiet doing so. He loved journaling. He was very much in meditation and yoga and would practice everyday, often multiple times per day. He had a passion for nature and exploring the world. It’s insane to me that these qualities have been somehow referenced to support statements that he was “weird” and “a loser” and “asocial” and “a creep” etc etc. These are all incredibly admirable qualities that should be celebrated and praised. To say otherwise just makes one look like a fool to be honest. Now, I can say all that about his very admirable qualities, yet still say, he is a reprehensible, immoral, and disgusting human being for having taken a life and so brutally and coldly. And those latter qualities in every way overwhelm his admirable ones. And THAT is the difference between him and Gabby.

Oh, and lest I forget, he was 23... what type of life achievements exactly do you expect him to have? The vast majority of 23 year olds are still figuring out their way and depending at least in part on parents.

Actually, I explicitly said in the original post his parents owned it. He was 23 years old. Most 23 year olds are still living with or being supported at least in part by parents.

The real estate lawyer who lives and works in Long Island, NY was a friend of and had sufficient clout with cops in a state over 1,200 miles away that he has never lived in? Interesting take.
