My preferred s'more includes Keebler fudge striped cookies instead of graham crackers.

Omg that is genius! I need to buy those cookies!!

Try girls scout samoas or the store bought equivalent...amazing

Consider trying a nice fresh natural peanut butter lightly spread inside a sharp cheddar quesadilla.

Ew WTF?? Now that is controversial.

I KNOW.

But think about trying it sometime. It's not what you would expect at all.

You sweet thing. You really are pushing this!

OK, we might need a separate thread for the people you want to win over.
I have Ortega soft tortillas, shredded cheddar cheese and Jif. Will that work? Or do I need top tier ingredients?

Sure! I think natural peanut butter is better, but I be that would work. Or at least be worth a go.

How sweet of you to be willing to try! (I might just be crazy. I think I may have said it was the best thing my ex left me? Never would have tried on my own.)

Sorry about late reply -- I've been ODing on Political Forum and living in the land of migraines.

Omg I’m invested. I really want PP to come back and tell us what she thought. There is no way I could bring myself to try this.

I have no desire to try that but I always liked peanut butter with a thin spread of butter on the sandwich too...makes the peanut butter creamier. I still make it (but only when no one else is around)

So many hate Thanksgiving and turkey. For theove of god, brine your turkey people. Follow the NYT's brining recipe to a T. I am absolutely salavating at the throught of a nice, very tasteful and not dry turkey using that brine recipe and topped with gravy. Soooooooooo good.

Tried it. Still would rather have any other type of meat.

Yes thank you. I get so sick of the people who constantly claim if you don't like Thanksgiving food its only because it wasn't cooked correctly. Sorry but I have had it made by incredible chefs and its still not a great meal. Trust me no one is drooling over your dry brine or wet brine or whichever other method you are convinced makes it yummy. Its blah. Edible but not worth the effort and made because you are supposed to have on Thanksgiving. This is why no one ever wants it any other day than Thanksgiving.

We've actually made a roasted turkey with some of the traditional side dishes twice since the pandemic began. Once with a turkey from Giant, which was good. And once with a free range turkey ordered from a farm in upstate NY, which was absolutely delicious.

But did the PP try it?? I still want to know what she thought! I saw one poster said it was ok and then added salsa. Which kinda just made it sound so much worse. I might sneak this into the next quesadilla I make, feed it to my DH, and see what he does...

Add sweet pickles to the cheese and peanut butter. Delish

You can get little co trainers of crushed oreos without the filling.

Super excited over here about people trying the cheddar/PB thing. (I'm the PP.) will try sweet pickle relish next time.

Thank you for making the stressful week a little lighter.

What does this say except you have exceptionally crappy choice in food? All this says to me is you are a mayo and bologna on white bread eater who doesn't really like eating. Eat to live and all that.

I am on the pro turley side. When it is moist with some great sides, it is an excellant meal. I think you are missing out supported by your ultra snobby post. Of course I also think you should just eat something else on Thanksgiving that meets your taste preferences.

This.

And I'll raise you and say no one needs to eat animal products, period.

Tell it to my anemia. I can eat meat OR I can get iron transfusions.
