Oh, Hi Ashley! Nice of you to join us again! (i saw inklings of you throughout the thread) π |
Her actions very likely killed someone. Let that sink in. For sure someone declined this party and told her reasons why and she proceeded and moved forward. Let that sink in too. |
So far 8 people have tested positive from attending the party. Just say one of them ends up dying. Or one of those eight spreads it to an elderly family member and they die. Would someone like her care? Would she feel responsible? |
What are the odds she is donating plasma? |
I remember the handwringing over the Lakes of Ozarks and nothing came out of it. At this point it's all due to the brownian motion. Take the riots and BLM protests. I'm sure somewhere out there someone got covid from a BLM protest and transmitted it to someone else who eventually died (or is dying) from it). The party was reckless, but the hostess isn't the only one at fault here. Everyone else who attended is equally at fault too. |
I read the article again, and finally noticed that she used the same caterer as the Gala itself. That might explain why she held a dinner party the same night in spite of the pandemic. A good deal on catering for your private event is the fringe benefit of hiring the caterer for a fundraising event.

I really think the backyard camps are more likely spreading events than the party. I get that the party is more fun to make fun of but the camps are insane. |
Yes, and I'm offended that she chose not to apologize for those in the same post. It shows a total lack of candor. |
One guest is in hospital |
Oh man. How old? |
Thatβs horrible. Who? Initials? |
She made a (rather huge) mistake, owned up to it (eventually), so now we'll play the waiting game to see how she rectifies it.
A generous donation to the CDC? Volunteering at Jose Andres' World Central Kitchen? Providing meals to nurses and doctors at Sibley? Let's hope that public relations firm helps her choose in a more timely manner than it took to issue her lackluster apology. |
Hmmm, Candace has not liked her apology... |
as someone who has curiously observed the society pages in DC for many years, why do people like Ashley and Candace have all this "prestige" (for lack of better word) yet everyone (on this board at least) seems to find them so objectionable?
If unpleasant people like this are the life of these parties, why are so many people wanting to be their friends and be a part of that "scene?" |
