So who here went to the ballet coronavirus party?

I mean, seriously. I wanted to see the photos to see if I knew anybody there!

I hope the caterer paid the staff wages for two weeks.

I pay for good journalism, which includes good photos.

Well I lost my job in April, and cut back on all non-essentials. But at least you had a chance to feel superior.

Was it an outdoor party?

I want to know more about the backyard summer camp she was apparently hosting at her house!

Article says people were hanging out around the pool in the backyard, were not masked and sat down for dinner at round tables set for 8 to 10 guests.

Sigh...I'm such a peasant. I never get to befriend any of these DC socialites!

And if this story is any indication of the pandemic-era norms among this crowd, you're healthier for it!

Her instagram account is now locked down.

Really disappointing reporting, WaPo! How could they not get photos of the event! Ashley Feinberg would have found some.

NP. I don't know what county you're in, PP, but I got an email notice last week that PG Library is now offering WaPo, NYTimes, and about 40 other publications (many/various magazines) digitally at home. It used to be that you could only access their subscriptions from inside a library branch. Now you can access them online from home. I'm out of work also and wish I could afford to support journalism right now.

Good luck with the job hunt. It's tough out there.

I hope Bronczek paid the staff two weeks wages.

Honestly, the stupidity of having (or attending) an in person party in violation of DC phase I guidelines for how many people can gather while chairing a VIRTUAL fundraiser, is mind-boggling -- not only the scientific/health stupidity but also the political stupidity. Clearly, she didn't learn much from Grandpa Lloyd Hand.

There is so much wrong with the descriptions -- two dozen guests not wearing masks, rounds of 8-10, also runs a "backyard summer camp" for friends, slow to report her test results to attendees, etc.

I would have some sympathy for the fact that she didn't have a fever until after her party, except that by the date of the fundraiser (mid-June), it was extremely clear that asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic transmission occurs.
