So who here went to the ballet coronavirus party?

Because she had the virus and didn't tell people immediately when she knew. So they went to the Post.

It's like the moms whose kids get lice and then don't tell anyone - they're the worst.

Ugh. I saw that dynamic play out on a much smaller scale in our neighborhood. People who value their socializing more than health, and think they are so special ...

can we also talk about how all that fundraising effort was for the ballet as opposed to things that people actually need right now?

I hope the caterer paid the staff wages for two weeks.

I hope Bronczek paid the staff two weeks wages.

Honestly, the stupidity of having (or attending) an in person party in violation of DC phase I guidelines for how many people can gather while chairing a VIRTUAL fundraiser, is mind-boggling -- not only the scientific/health stupidity but also the political stupidity. Clearly, she didn't learn much from Grandpa Lloyd Hand.

There is so much wrong with the descriptions -- two dozen guests not wearing masks, rounds of 8-10, also runs a "backyard summer camp" for friends, slow to report her test results to attendees, etc.

I would have some sympathy for the fact that she didn't have a fever until after her party, except that by the date of the fundraiser (mid-June), it was extremely clear that asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic transmission occurs.

She is a a socialite.

Washington doesn’t have enough “It” girls as it is, and now Ashley Taylor is off the market. Last Saturday — on her 29th birthday — boyfriend Matt Bronczek popped the question.

The granddaughter of former chief of protocol Lloyd Hand and jeweler Ann Hand moved to D.C. six years ago to manage Hand’s boutique and model in the store’s ads. The glamorous blonde quickly became a leading figure on the young professional social scene, chairing benefit galas and founding her own charity to donate prom dresses to needy students.

She attracted even more headlines for a high-profile romance with the three-decades-older multimillionaire real estate investor Joe Robert. During their rocky two-year courtship, the pair got engaged and set two wedding dates before finally calling it quits in 2008.

The arts are important to many, many people. Not on the same level as healthcare, no, but fundraising has to continue if the arts are to survive. (not that that excuses her silly party)

Arts do play a vital role in society. But, I agree, food and housing first.

The one comment to the engagement story has to be by a DCUMer - come on, honey, out yourself.

"IT" girl, hahaha. Wanna be Paris Hilton gold digger found a sucker. This guy has to be slow to marry Trashy Taylor. See You Next Tuesday is all I can think of when her name is ever mentioned. No talent trust fund baby that Grandma was pimping out to wealthy men in DC for years.

She also had started a workout boot camp in her backyard for her mommy friends. I know someone who went to a session of that who's now in quarantine.

Apparently this woman believed that her backyard was magic and no one could catch the virus there.

I want to see her house! How big is this backyard?! It had a pool, a soiree, a camp and a workout boot camp?

agreed. And the performing arts are in deep trouble -- with indoor crowds and no ability to social distance (for performers), it's completely up in the air when they can resume. Hope WSB doesn't get bad publicity; as far as I can tell, they had nothing to do with this bad idea party.

If its the spring valley house i found online, the backyard area looks really small for a soiree, a camp, or a workout class. Pool looks nice tho.

It girl....lol. Who knew you could be a socialite. I bet she was on the partner track before she switched to socialiting.

lol there's a home visit virtual tour up of it.

What is a bit sketchy is that the Kent/Palisades neighborhood only went up ONE positive since June 18th. Seems doubtful in light of this story. I asked elsewhere, when the rich go across the Potomac to get their testing done and healthcare needs met in Virginia, do their positives show up in the DC tally?

She was symptomatic and positive a few hours after the party, and people at her table ended up positive as well.

So... connect the dots.

To top it all off, she waited before warning all the guests and people she had come into contact recently because she was afraid of the social fallout.

Her circle is mad at her, but it's probably nothing a few expensive favors won't fix. You know these people.

It just says people at her table are rumored to have tested positive. But yes, I get that she should have notified everyone right away.

Yes, what has happened to the Post? Nobody actually confirmed positive from this event.

Add this artile to the hysterical photographer sob story and it doesn't add up to much journalism.

I, too, am dying to see her backyard. It's probably gorgeous if she's hosting parties and camps there.

If it's the house I, too, found on google--the backyard is pretty small? I was expecting something more....cinematic
