Why should any academic credentials ensure success? |
Because everyone knows only the dumb kids go to that school. Can you name a single smart person who went to Michigan? You can't. |
My cousin went there. Ands she’s smart. |
Infers or implies? |
As if Sasha is doomed to failure. She could go to PGCC and her life is still coming up roses |
A bunch of astronauts, Nobel laureates, Groupon/Twitter/Redbox execs, John Delorean, Block of H&R |
| Let's see - great school, smart students, great opportunities in many fields, large so easier to blend in, I could go on but why bother - it's what she wants so why not. |
| I was at a bar last year when I overheard a man saying that he works as a science and math tutor for a few families, helping with daily homework and test preparation and that one of his clients is Sasha Obama. He also said that these students get tutored in every subject in school. So regardless of her abilities she has to be well prepared for any college. |

| There’s another thread on here about safety schools playing yield protection. The consensus seem to be that no one who could go to Yale or Harvard would choose Michigan. Michigan is a safety for Ivy aspiring students. |
|
Michigan is NOT one big happy public U campus. All the rich kids fiercely divide themselves into social hierarchy with frat and sorority tiers — and consider anyone not in their orbit “irrelevant peasants”.
Sasha will hang with only her tiny 4-6 girl clique inside of a 100 “sister” sorority and they’ll strictly “mix” with only 1-2 frats in their “tier”. Socializing or dating anyone below or outside their hierarchy is a no-no. Reads like satire? It’s 100% reality. |
Yeah, and people raised their eyebrows when she went there as well. |
This exactly. No one's denying that Michigan is a great school. But lets be honest, it is an unusual choice for a president's kids. |
Was that Sasha's crowd at Sidwell? |
So what? Sounds smart. She can always get a graduate degree at one of the Ivys the DCUM salivates over. |
