I spoke with Detective Buc on Monday. She said she had been sick on Friday but was back at work on Monday when I spoke with her.

And I spoke to her yesterday. She gave no indication that she isn't working on this case.

It seems to me MPD’s job is to bring the strongest case as quickly as possible. In the case of LAMB it seems like that happened with 2 kids at issue but that there were several more. I don’t know the timing of how that came out and that guy plead out. Here we have much younger children whose memories and reliability will be much more questioned a defense attorney and I assume there is no hard evidence (recordings or the like). I’m sad to say I think this is going to be a very long haul.

I also think if the parents want to push collectively anything against the administration in terms of responsibility or accountability, it’s not going to come until after the police are able to move forward and even at that time will have to be pushed parents. It won’t come from the police.

I think these conversations should be taken off line and parents should start reaching out to have these collective conversations among ourselves.

Is this ongoing still or has there been a verdict?

In terms of the criminal case, he pled guilty and was sentenced to 8 years.

I believe this civil case is still going on.

I am forever scarred after reading the LAMB case. Terrible.

Bless those parents. Glad they fought so hard.

Rabbi Lustig not going to be there the high holidays. Apparently had a stroke? I wish him the best in getting healthy, but the timing of this announcement is extremely curious. Sounds like he doesn’t want to face the fire.

Maybe I’m just being skeptical of everything at that place right now...

I mean you don't really get to time your stroke. And the stress of these events would be an added risk factor. So unless the stroke is a ruse, I wouldn't read too much into it.

Agreed about the stress. The heat is on.

Appearently some members received letters (we did not, but a close friend did). Personally, we find the timing very strange. While there may be some health issues going on, our gut feeling is that he is doing this now to cover himself so that he cannot be outed....if he has health issues he cannot be asked to leave or run out.....how does the lead rabbi not show up for the high holiday services....he is trying to cover himself IMO....

Wow. I am a poster who feels DJ is dangerously arrogant and incompetent, but leave the poor rabbi alone and have a little respect.

. I am assuming you are not a member of the congregation. The lead rabbi has a history of being “dangerously arrogant”

I was told the place is now full of press? A good investigative journalist may help more these kids than everyone else....

Has anyone heard if the victims were both boys and girls?
