Good question. Now think about it.

I talked to several teachers on Tuesday who told me no men changed diapers, at least not on any regular basis

THIS IS NOT TRUE!

I agree with you.

Do you have proof of this, or are you just speculating

This seems like such a non-issue. It is not proof of child abuse or mis-management by the preschool. It may make some of us uncomfortable. But I don’t think it is proof of any wrong doing. However, people keep bringing it up on this forum, which is sad to me. It shows how little we have grown as a society. I hope when my daughter grows up, social norms will have changed. I know my grandfather never changed diapers, but my husband doesn’t think twice about it. Like I said, I thought times have changed, but I guess not everyone can move out of the 1950s

Don't be silly. You know the issue is men getting jobs with babies, and then doing the diapering. It's fine in your own family, but I don't want you messing in my kid's diaper. It's just very wierd to most people I know. Certain social norms are good.

Reveal yourself if you are going to make an antiquated, sexist statement like that. That's just stupid.

No need for personal attacks. You're perfectly allowed to disagree with any of us here.

And I am perfectly allowed to call them antiquated, sexist, and stupid.

Agreed. And families may either stay with your diaper men... or leave. Seeing that this can be a major turnoff for new families, not sure why the school wants to unnecessarily deal with these problems. Surely you know that the sex abuse of children is a problem many parents worry about.

Dear moms and dads, I had hoped this was a misunderstanding. Unfortunately it is not. If you are still at the school, or thinking of registering your kid, I think it is a good and safe place now. If you are at school or not and you think that you may have been affected or you are just not sure, let me recommend that it is worth investing some of your time and effort in letting professionals talk w your child. I was wrong to think only girls or only boys are affected in this situation or in general, as it was said on this thread before, these cases can involve both. And certainly I realize now that we are poorly equipped to handle talking about these issues w our little ones, though talking is better than not talking. I hope this helps!

What would help the most is for schools to stop trying to be PC, and start making child safety their priority.

9:12-What do you mean by “trying to be PC”?

Is English your second language? Perhaps ask a trusted friend to explain "PC" to you. It's a very common term here in the United States. It should never take priority over the safety of our children. Never.

I'm not sure what you mean by politically correct. Trying to protect an investigation and a person's reputation until there is enough evidence? That's not being political correct. That's being moral.

I know what PC means. I am trying to figure out what YOU mean by your ridiculous and condescending remarks.
