The key question for me is whether the teacher is cooperating with the police, or still can't be found. The news story says he is on the run. Dear Brother/Sister of the teacher who posted a few days ago, do you know where your brother is? Has he met with the police?

I just watched the linked video (thanks to whoever posted the link). One thing that stood out was the claim that the pictures were found on a thumb drive. The Beauvoir letter explicitly said the pictures were on a camera. I wonder if the police have discovered a second set of pictures?

Also, the reporter held up sheaf of papers which I assume were printouts of the posts in this thread. He said there would be more at 6, but it was already past 6 at that point. Did anyone catch what they said in the follow-up report?

Jeff: Not that I care, as I suppose it's not like we have rights to the content of what we post, but I am curious whether a news organization can print or specifically depict any one of our posts? DCUM Fan

PS - It sure did seem from the earlier coverage that they plan a story at least partially touching on DCUM! DCUM? Now, that's newsworthy! Just hope they don't first start on the Farce Thread.

I don't know why they couldn't quote messages as this is a public forum. It would have been nice for them to touch base with me. I hope they at least mentioned our name rather than simply "a local website" as so often happens.

It is a sick situation and the information is being held too tightly (6/17 at 17:32)

Yes, sadly, these guys get away with this stuff for years before they get caught. So background checks don't catch most of them (6/18 at 11:58)

I find all you guys incredible. Haven't you ever heard of "innocent until proven guilty"? (6/18 at 18:49)

Yes, it was on the 6 o'clock broadcast. He read only those quotes (not the full quotes, just those entries I posted). He did not mention DCUM. He did, indeed, say simply a 'website exchange on the matter'. Sorry Jeff.

If images were taken in private homes, you can be certain the police are working to identify those homes by interior shots.

If this involves child pornography, then you can bet there are reasons they have no released more info.

Thumb drive of a computer? That sounds like more than just the camera.

Reporters always have informers that range from the police to people on the inside. I doubt that info was from this board alone.

Explain to me why you think the family would tell this board...who was/is out to crucify the teacher...any of the details? Do you really think they would give you all the "inside scoop"?

I don't think its fair to suggest that everyone on this board is out to crucify the teacher. All types of view points are represented here, including those sympathetic to the teacher and those who are simply waiting for events to play out before drawing conclusions.

The picture painted on the NBC newscast was not a pretty one. If the family had information that portrayed things differently, I'd think that they would want to get it out.

Get a grip. I am the poster and was making a point. The brother/sister posted here and said that there brother was completely innocent and that we had all the facts wrong. In fact, she/he used some pretty outrageous language. While I understand why they are defending their brother, it is really hard to explain why he is on the run . . .

Ever think that maybe he isnt on the run? That maybe he realized that even being accused of such horrific things has forever ended his career and maybe he ended his life?

Hate to ruin the surprise but he didnt do it...you need to look to what he knew about whom and who would want to ruin any credibility he has.
