With Love, Meghan on Netflix

She is warm, inviting, curious, and likable. If Meghan could have accomplished this vibe, she would have had something. She didn’t and she doesn’t. This show will obviously get the attention out of the gate, but mark my words… it will be out of the top 10 within the week. Maybe sooner.

Pamela does well in this format because she is the opposite of Meghan-- stunningly self-aware and doesn't take herself too seriously. And she's actually a better actress than Meghan.

Plus she is interesting because she has had more than 30 years of hard work (successful and not) in the industry, plus personal trials and tribulations that she has overcome, including a dang sex tape.

She and Jamie Lee Curtis were both really good in The Last Showgirl. Kind of disappointing that movie didn't get more Oscar buzz.

A lot of the things she does are basic mom things every mom knows how to do, unless they are rich and really not handy at all. I feel like if she didn't want to share her real life, then she could have done a show like Padma Lakshmi's Taste the Nation. She could have even focused on LA, Toronto...Cities she knows really well since she lived in them, showcased local chefs and small restaurants. Less focus on her would have made her seem more humble.

She has zero talent. She simply married well. Massive mistake to cut off the hand that fed them both, with minimal work expected.

It's not just about talent, I don't think she's very bright. Saying things like broken things are beautiful and can be sealed or whatever, how cringe. She is beautiful and I belive the best dressed woman on the global stage, but she made a big mistake striking it out on her own. She doesn't have what it takes (poor Harry absolutely doesn't).

Marie Kondo introduced kintsugi on her show first.

As well as being the first famous actress to eschew makeup on the red carpet.

Pamela's show is also authentic - it's filmed on her property with her real family. That goes a long way. The toast at the end of MM's show where she is thanking everyone for loving her was just so staged - and odd. If she would just drop the act, people would accept her.

Exactly. A lot of us here were excited for her when she started dating Harry and we were rooting for her. But it’s like she almost immediately rebranded herself as the next princess diana instead of owning that she was a B/C list actress from LA, and raised middle class. The south park worldwide privacy tour really hit the nail on the head about her.

Yeah it feels like PA is not trying to prove anything at this stage. She's got a long past.

Basically the opposite of MM.

You contrast Pamela Anderson….no makeup at all, does not care if people screech that she looks pale or shiny or washed out or whatever…with Meghan Markle. She truly does not care. She makes you feel like you can relax too because no one is trying to curate perfection whereas Meghan quite obviously has o perfectly arranged every disheveled tendril of her hair to look just so. I feel you would have real talk with PA, whereas you get a lot of very self-conscious “OK GALS” type performative nonsense among Meghan’s perfectly coiffed and dressed friend group. Mindy Kaling was made up like she was going to a photocall. I wouldn’t feel remotely relaxed in an environment like that.

She is privileged. When should she acts normal?

For her whole vibe she wears SO MUCH makeup. Like, so much eyeshadow and brow and bronzer and just so much. It’s wild. She has full glam on this whole time. GP has this down look wise. This is like a pageant queen trying to be all California and it feels so off.

Meghan has terrible taste and even worse instincts. She absolutely cannot dress for sh!t on this show. Her makeup and hair are absolutely Drag Race lower-tier contestants, but each of those entrants knew how to fake a waist.

Too many of you think you have to put out one oily “say something nice” about this 28 minutes x 8 Hindenberg of a show. You don’t have to be so fake. It’s a little Meghan Sussex of you. She put out a bad show.

Seriously. Put down the eyeliner for the bottom of the eye, maybe, for the morning content. Don’t line the inner eye. Don’t do an aggressive contour. Like wtf it’s so Awkward looking.

I watched episode 1 expecting to cringe based on what everyone is saying here. Surprise! Even my husband was impressed with the show and how she came across. It’s a fun, helpful show with some recommendations I’ll try.

Ya’ll are nutty and care way too much.

Good lord, what’s wrong with you and your husband? Please don’t take recs from Meghan Sussex…unless you’re laying a trap through this post for a future tragic WaPo Metro headline: “Beloved Vienna Mid-Range Earner and Father Stung to Death by Swarm in Amateur Apiary.”
