Biden won primary 4 years ago, not in 2024. No one asked about will of the people this year

You all do know the reason the Dems were able to win back states like Michigan and Wisconsin was because they nominated an old conservative white guy named “Scranton Joe” right? If you think two California elitists are going to win over Midwest Union voters, or that a Harris / Whitmer ticket is going to help the Dems slide with Hispanic and Black men (let’s not even talk about white men) you are delusional.

Whitmer and Newsom have already declined.

They declined because they want the 2024 presidential nomination.

In 2024, they wouldn’t allow debates. Biden won the primary.

Now Biden is being forced out before the convention. Rich donors will select a new candidate.

The party of democracy.

Exactly this. Why can’t more people see this???!

Oh many of us do

Honest question for you and the other “many”. Are you going to vote Trump? In deep contemplation, I have been intently watching this party and I have come to the conclusion that I can’t vote for them. I certainly can’t vote Democrat given what we’ve identified above. I have been mulling this for months. For this first time ever, I probably just won’t vote.

Because Trump is way worse. If you don't vote, especially in swing states, you are basically allowing Trump to win.

I am an independent, former D. Given how extreme both sides have become, it seems it’s really time for a moderate 3rd party. I also think we are here, with each side’s extreme having the fuel to rule, because of Citizens United. That was the worst thing to ever happen to our political system.

How are Democrats extreme? Democrats in the US are like center right.

Independent here. Democrats are extreme. I am really frustrated that he GOP has gone so far off the rails that there is no one around to check the Dem extreme positions.

I think they thought Biden could recover after the debate in the polls and the whole thing would blow over.

When that didn’t happen and instead Biden’s gaffes only got worse, the donor withdrawals and concern from leadership and party officials only grew

Yes all those Dems have not been indoctrinated by Fox News. When Trump gets in all those people go to concentration camps for re education or death.

Why do you even care about an election? You do not believe in people having independent will.

Yes they did. Biden won New Hampshire going away and he wasn’t even on the ballot.

People can. The last time the DNC let the underdog /rising star/people’s choice win was 2008. If they rigged it for pro Iraq Hillary then, progressives would’ve sat out and McCain would’ve become president. Traditionally, the underdog usually bears the expected candidate in a primary (Bill Clinton, GW bush, Trump) but the DNC had other plans in 2016 and 2020

What are the extreme positions? Serious question. And I am referring to the elected leadership, not the fringe progressives like the Pro-Hamas tiny fraction.

No. They knew his physical status. They put him into an early debate so that he would humiliate himself and step aside, giving way to an open convention. When he did not step aside initially, they told him he had to prove himself publicly, knowing full well that it would only lead to more gaffes and more public pressure to step aside. Notable Dems can now cite public opinion as the reason he should not seek the nomination, adding to the humiliation until he finally steps aside. A ruthless but efficient strategy.

"Got even worse?"
What are you talking about? He did extremely well at the NATO press conference. He turned the tables on Lester Holt and grilled him. He's been doing far better than Trump in his recent rallies and appearances than Trump did with that complete snooze fest delivery Trump gave at the RNC convention last night.
