Was cleaning through 14 Y.O. DS' room, and found an empty water bottle with no cap and a hole in it towards the bottom. DH says it is a way to smoke cocaine, I just don't know.
Anyone have any insight? Neither me nor DH did any drugs ever, so we are (admittedly) not the smartest in terms of the new ways people consume drugs, but DH is convinced this is some drug-related device. |
| He was using it as a telescope. |
| sounds more like an imitation bong for pot rather than smoking cocaine. I knew people used soda cans when I was in high school. |
| We smoked weed that way sometimes when I was in high school... |
| Ask him. |
It's called a homemade bong. It seems your son may be experimenting with drugs. Time for a very frank, serious discussion.
|
| 22:48 here - the instructions are easily found online. It might be worthwhile for you and your dh to read up on it or watch a Youtube video before talking with your son. |

They are called gravity bongs. If you google image search gravity bong water bottle you will see examples. You also might be able to swab test the inside of the bottle.
Not just used for cocaine...could be pot |
| Sometimes a hole is just a hole. Crack is smoked in a clear pipe. For powder cocaine to be smoked it has to be liquified in an elaborate process. I don't see how a water bottle would come into it and 14 year-olds typically don't do these things. But unless there's something you aren't mentioning I think you should be far, far more worried about your DH's paranoia than your DS. Seriously, the two of you need to educate yourselves about what kids really do so you don;t go off on things like this. |

We used fruit, soda cans, or large soda bottles. But for cannabis, not cocaine.
The worst part? It was fun. |
| Bong |
| Yes, drug-related. Could be used for many drugs, including hash, heroin, rtc. |
| OK, people, lets keep our shit together. It is almost certainly cannabis, not crack or heroin. |
| DH is an idiot |
This. Could DH be smoking crack? |
