Who makes their parent uber on a Saturday afternoon to come over for dinner?

I don't know why this is weird. My parents are in their 80s, they uber everywhere.

Yep, my elderly relatives use it even though they have help/family nearby. It gives them a sense of independence and it’s affordable for shorter trips.

All those safe, vetted Uber drivers who know where you live and that you have major health issues, including hearing loss, limied mobility, etc

Everything is a risk, but you lead your life. think of what it's like for parents of special needs adults trying to help them lead independent lives. There are predators everywhere and we do the best we can to allow them to have independence and a life while understanding we cannot keep them 100% safe.

PP here. I'm fully aware. Have worked with kids with special needs and their families for 30 years.

I cannot even fathom how she and her siblings are managing on a daily basis.
I probably wouldn’t even be able to eat or bathe…..I would need to pop a pill just to sleep at night.

I would be so annoyed that the authorities have not made an arrest yet either.

I wonder if the ransom notes have ceased at this point…..or maybe the authorities are just not disclosing details about them now.
Or possibly they decided the ransom notes were a fraud and that no one saw Nancy in Mexico.

Ugh - when will all of this madness come to an end??

I think the ransoms were probably frauds/copycats.

There were interviews with the Sheriff where he stated those were fraudulent.

I’m so sad for her. I feel this will not end well after all this time prayers to the family.

What sicko does this!

Criminals with no conscience, compassion for others, or caring if animals or other people feel physical pain and emotional suffering.

Is it possible she is in witness protection?

And not actually missing.

I wish everyone that was kidnapped or missing had these resources to fine loved ones. Not just famous celebrities.

On the bright side, no body means no death confirmed. That is a good thing right?

It is tragic, but I think she died either during the kidnapping (if it was a kidnapping) or soon after. That’s why there was never a proof of life. Hopefully someone finds her body so there can be closure for the family. I can’t imagine what they are going through

Wow it has already been an entire month since this poor woman seemingly vanished from her home.

It doesn’t seem possible that she could go an entire four wks without having access to her life-sustaining medication or pacemaker.

I hope I am entirely wrong on all of this but do not think I am sadly. 😔😔😔

I agree with this wholeheartedly.
If she was not related to a celebrity then the search would not have extended as long as it already has.
The search would have definitely been called off by now.

Wherever she is, her pacemaker is with her. Pacemakers are surgically implanted and will keep working regardless of where her phone is. The phone app is a relatively recent invention to allow her/medical team to see how her heart is going. Pacemakers have been around decades longer than smart phones and apps.

What if? If she is in witness protection, they can’t come out and tell the public. They also wouldn’t be concerned about the blood on the porch because they know she is okay.

For the 67th time, a pacemaker is surgically implanted in the body. Dead or alive, her pacemaker is with her.
