If she was not related to a celebrity then the search would not have extended as long as it already has.

Wherever she is, her pacemaker is with her. Pacemakers are surgically implanted and will keep working regardless of where her phone is. The phone app is a relatively recent invention to allow her/medical team to see how her heart is going. Pacemakers have been around decades longer than smart phones and apps.

What if? If she is in witness protection, they can’t come out and tell the public. They also wouldn’t be concerned about the blood on the porch because they know she is okay.

For the 67th time, a pacemaker is surgically implanted in the body. Dead or alive, her pacemaker is with her.

The search hasn’t made a damn bit of difference. She’s as missing as ever and they have no clue how to find her.

And back in 1990 at least, patients could call a fax-sounding system using a landline and hold the phone to their heart to transmit signal.

If she was taken to Mexico the kidnappers have been able to get some of her medications. I really think she’s likely passed away by now though.

Totally normal for elderly people to Uber somewhere 3 miles away. Maybe the family was busy or she wanted to head over on her own so as to not bother them. Not unusual at all, my elderly relatives would do the same.

+1 The short distance actually makes the most sense. It’s convenient, cheap and it’s seems safer.

I think any family who keeps their missing loved one in the news cycle can get this kind of attention. But you have to have resources to organize and rally people around your cause. The video is horrific, maybe I'm a Pollyanna but I don't think law enforcement would just end a search with the video evidence we have seen.

^PP here, let me correct myself: this level of national attention is unusual and certainly related to savannahs celebrity, but other organized/resourced families can keep the momentum going at a more local level. Sorry for the confusion.
