Savannah imparted some new information however…..she disclosed that the back door(s) were propped open which I found interesting - - perhaps that is how the perpetrator took her out - he probably could not get her out of the house w/out having the doors already opened up.

She also says her mother was not very mobile…..that most of the time she could not walk to the mailbox to even check her mail.

She believes that two of the ransom notes sent were legitimate too.
She stressed again that it is never “too late” for Nancy’s kidnapper to do the right thing
and I agree.

As many have said, her.mom should.not.have been living alone in that home.

You’re a b—tch. People with physical mobility limitations can live by themselves just fine with the appropriate supports. What happened here was an awful and rare tragedy.

I agree. This person is completely ignorant about how many seniors are capable of living alone. Also you can't force someone to move. My 90+ yo mom still lives in her home on her own.

Not with mobility problems as described with a very large square footage home and a pool. They can certainly live alone but in an appropriate living arrangement. And certainly better security. I wouldn't want to and this woman is only 20 years older than I.

+1

Savannah’s sister and BIL saw her every day per the interview. I suspect she was mostly alone at night for bed and maybe early morning.

I wonder now if Savannah has gotten security for the rest of her family, especially her kids.

Other celebs should now start thinking about security for their families.

Anonymous wrote:Interview on the Today Show this morning was heartbreaking. Savannah weeping that her mom may have been kidnapped because of her own fame is just awful to comprehend.

She said many of the ransom notes were fakes but she believes that the two they responded to were authentic.

Addressed the inuendo that her BIL was the perp - she seemed genuinley angry about that.

She didn't seem overly enthusiastic about the investigation itself. She credited the hard work of the investigators thus far.

She asked her brother if he thought this happened because of her/her fame and he admitted yes maybe...How heartbreaking. The siblings (at least her brother) are going to resent her. Truthfully for all they know it could've been a stalker that thought kidnapping her mom would make savannah pay attention to them but she died in the process. Still..

I can't imagine they would resent her. Now, the Reiner siblings will absolutely resent their brother. This is nothing like that.
I think resent is too strong. I am sure that thought crosses their but it's not like they're blaming her. Samantha didn't do anything wrong

+1 And surely the Reiners understand mental illness and have compassion for their brother .

No I bet not. My friend had gone through something similar- her brother in law with schizophrenia murdered his parents. The trial took over 10 years to resolve due to him variously being found mentally incompetent or competent to stand trial. The entire family (siblings and the siblings’ spouses) hate him. They do not write to him or visit him.

I hear Savannah is returning to work on Monday, April 6th.

While I had suggested on here a few wks ago that I thought she should return back to work - - I have thought about it since and think that Savannah being on the show now may cause a huge distraction.
People may only tune in to see how she is holding up, etc…..

But I bet the ratings will be very high.

Brian Entin will be back in AZ this wk to report - hopefully we will hear something new soon.

Megyn Kelly ‘s show where she discusses this case is so annoying.
She claims that she has met and likes Savannah but she makes a big deal over stuff her family does.

For example, she talked with her experts on at least two episodes of how odd she thought it was that Savannah’s sister waited a few hours to notify Savannah when she found out their mom was missing!!?

She talked on and on….. Dissecting how weird she thought it all was as if it were some major thing.

Maybe her sister didn’t want to worry her while she was working and notified her when she was off work.

I think this is a scam article to stir up rumours.

savannah's sister and husband were helping her as well. Senior citizens still have rights.

Yes according to Savannah’s latest interview, her sister + BIL resided very nearby and thus cared very well for her.

I heard the Megyn Kelly show the pp mentioned. Megyn Kelly thought her first reaction to missing mom would be to text Savannah and/or her brother to ask if they had spoken or texted their mom earlier that day. Instead, the sister waited 5 hours (?) and the police were in the house when she called Savannah.

Savannah said Annie called her just as Savannah and her husband both arrived back home on Sunday.

I think Megyn is confused as to when Savannah arrived home from her *night* at Carson Daly and his wife's house. Megyn seemed to think Savannah was saying she arrived back to her home at night.

Savannah's husband was returning from a guy's tennis trip and Megyn's logic was with driving to the airport, flying and getting home, he probably arrived home at night. He could have had a 7am flight and easily been back to NY after lunch.

Annie called 911 just after noon (2pm NY time). I heard Savannah was on a flight by 7pm. I think it's more likely that Savannah arrived home mid afternoon, which could have been 2:30pm, 10 minutes after LE arrived at Nancy's house. I don't see anything odd about Annie's timing.

I can't imagine going back to a peppy morning show and pretending to be peppy and happy after this. They always have human interest stories, talk about mothers, etc. and she'll have to... just sit there and grin? This seems like a terrible idea.

Yes having Savannah back on air will be too much of a viable distraction.
Curious people will tune in just to see if she will cry on the air so I bet the ratings for the Today show will definitely skyrocket.
Hoda is usually a great interviewer/host, but I don’t think she did an accurate job interviewing Savannah last week about her mother. She seemed to be fake crying especially towards the end, I couldn’t make out any real tears.

Just my two cents

Megyn Kelly is not a very good broadcast journalist.

A source close to the investigation says there were no signs of an assault inside Nancy Guthrie’s house. The inside of the house was clean - certain rooms were described as “immaculate.”

"Certain" rooms were immaculate. So this wasn't a case of a robbery gone bad. Though I am sure we came to this conclusion. She was targeted in my opinion

I saw the recent interview that Savannah Guthrie did with Hoda Kotb. I have to admit that normally I don't care much for "celebrities" and their problems. But seeing Savannah cry got to me a little. My eyes were watering a bit. I hope her mom is found alive and well, but something tells me that it's too late. I hope I'm wrong.
